Have you ever saved a person's life?

Have you ever saved a person's life? I've helped people stay clean and sober...that's about as close as I've come

Not intentionally.
There were two people from high school who were bullied like I was.
I got the worst of it, as I was open about being asexual and an atheist among other things.
One came and told me that he was somehow inspired to not kill himself, seeing how I hadn't done so.
The other was in the class a couple seats away, and came to say the same when we were talking.

I didn't really think much of it, and one of them ended up committing suicide the next year anyways.
So whether I actually helped to save one life is up to debate, the guy probably just felt better seeing someone worse off.
I guess it counts, though.

That was very touching! ((Hugs))

Yes. Common but I was coming from the store waiting at the bus stop. A little kid without his parent near by, think he was kindergarten (first learning to walk), ran out in the street as two cars coming on either side almost hit him. No one stopped if I hadn't stepped out and held my hands up.

Another kid about the same age, older, dropped his ball in the street. This was a bit easier since the driver saw and stopped. Just the kid wasn't quite so aware that his ball wasn't going anywhere important.

Emotionally, I helped for a good long time a friend not go insane and paranoid (seriously/literally) in his dangerous environment. I wish I could save him from his living situation physically, but I couldn't. I visit him now and again.

Nothing supermanish, though.

I think twice. All because I keep a few tablet of 'Sorbitrate' in my pocket. I am a smoker for the last 50 years. My father also was a smoker and he died due to heart attack. So, once I was travelling in a bus and a person had breathing trouble. His identity card said that he was a heart patient. I gave him two tablets. By the time we passed in front of a hospital, he could get down and walk (not a safe thing to do, but in India we do that. The hospital will take hours to send a stretcher). The second time, it was a colleague in office. Again my tablets worked. I have not yet have had any big need to use them, though even at the slight discomfort (which probably due to other reasons), I pop a tablet (I know taking vasodilators bring down the blood pressure, it is not always safe to do so). Don't know if I will get time be able to use them myself or not when it really happens. :)

God will need an excuse to extinguish my life. I provide him the reason (helping God). :D

I have not knowingly saved a person's life. My greatest attempt, sadly, failed.

I have, however, saved the lives of animals. I was driving to work one morning when the car I was following hit a dog and continued driving. I picked up the dog and desperately tried to find a emergency vet, as the dog had been run over, was alive, but despondent, and I feared internal injuries. I found an emergency vet about 20 miles from the incident and brought the dog there. I continued to work after checking the dog in. Ultimately, the vet found the dog's owner, and though the dog was in serious condition, he made a full recovery.

I have pulled over to pick up snapping turtles who were crossing busy highways to put them on the side of the road to which they were attempting to be.

I also have, on a couple of occasions, stopped freeway traffic for an animal attempting to cross the road and got confused.

I don't know if they would have died without my assistance but I've been first responder in a first aid situation before, drowning kid got stuck in an upside down inflatable tube on the river.
I also donate blood, which can be life saving.

I really need to get back into the habit of doing this. I used to do it religiously. Then I got a tattoo and never really got back to doing it as I once did.
Man if I'm even a week past three months I start getting weekly calls from Red Cross haha. I thought about telling them I want to get a tattoo just to stop the calls for a while.

I once pushed someone out of the way of a fast moving bus, sadly the bus hit me instead and I died.

I matched someone and donated stem cells (like donating marrow only instead of doing it from the hip in one procedure, you do it on a pheresis machine over 2 days after 5 treatments of neupogen). That, and I have stopped myself from killing people and I think that should count.

For some reason they stopped calling me. Either that or that's one of the numbers that I don't recognized and ignore. Lol

For the people I know whose life sucks right now, I try to do nice things and make them laugh.
I also helped a snapper cross the road. I think that the people who stop to help animals who are victims of hit and run are real heroes.

I think this place and all the people about this place are for saving lives and I suppose that means me too.

Luciferi Baphomet

Lucifer, is my Liberator
No but I wished I did. A few days ago I went back on facebook to see what's up with my friends and then a few days later I saw a post in a group about our friend that hasn't been back on there.
I created a group chat with some of those people who we are all mutual friends with to see what's up with him but we may be suspecting that he may have committed suicide.
I texted him yesterday morning around 6am but I have not gotten a reply.
Tomorrow I am going to do a ritual to ask Lucifer what is really going on.

Btw I don't know him in real life but he is an interesting person to talk to.
If he is dead then Rest In Peace to him.
