Have you had interaction with dead relatives?

Late winter of 1983 I was visiting my family in Chicago.

At about 2:00 in the morning one night while I was sleeping on my cousin's couch I had this dream:

My mother was walking away from my father's house with my grandmother who had passed away the previous October.

When she saw me she said, "[........] I have to go with Grandma. Would you take care of the house when I'm gone?". I said I would.

Then the phone rang and I woke up. I answered the phone. It was my aunt, looking for my cousin. My answering the phone surprised her and caught her off balance.

She asked to speak to my cousin without telling me what had happened. A minute later my cousin came into the room and told me that my mother had just had a stroke and we needed to get to the hospital ASAP.

She passed away the next morning.

Later on my cousin told me he was a little freaked out by the fact that when he came into the living room to tell me what happened, I was already putting my coat on.

I’m sorry for the loss of your mother, so long ago.

During my lifetime, no matter how much time has passed, it seems the memories I have of those I’ve lost in death, are still vivid.

Im so looking forward to the resurrection!

Here’s what always gets me: ghosts, whenever they are seen (by those given the ability), always have clothes on.
They say when people die, their spirit is the ghost.

But how did their clothes turn into spirit?! I thought only living things had spirit… how did their clothes get it? In my mind, when taking shape, they should all be naked.
Well the females obviously get their bras from ghostbusters - not sure as to the rest though. :D

If a spirit is disincarnate then it isn't necessarily limited to any given form. (For or we know, spirits may lack any inherent form). Thus, much like you can change your profile picture; a spirit can manifest itself in a clothed human form.

All you need is love.

I believe that how we dress is intrinsically tied to our sense of self, and that the same holds true for the dead. In addition, I believe that human spirits will typically manifest themselves as they perceived themselves prior to death, including the clothing that they associated most closely with their identity in life. I believe this is the reason why full-body or partial apparitions appear to be clothed. I've seen the spirits of Union and Confederate soldiers appear in their uniforms, as well as other spirits appear in the clothing of the era in which they died. Also, see my post here for further details about my experiences.

Oh yeah, I know spirits exist, and believe they can manifest themselves anyway they want. (Almost…they’d love to materialize as flesh-and-blood humans, but they’re prohibited.)

But many so-called spirits of dead humans, have been described on here as “lost” & “confused”; yet they have the presence of mind to make themselves appear clothed?

They are not as “lost & confused” as they’ve got many people thinking they are! The way they present themselves, as having ambiguous and unpredictable natures, is I think by design, calculated to mislead. - Revelation 12:9
They have dangerous & ultimately harmful motives. From what I have researched.

Goodnight.

Faith-confidence in what we hope for (Hebrews 11)
I have not.

I find this interesting because shortly before my daughter died, we had discussed such interactions and she stated that if it was possible for her to interact with me after she died, she would. 16 years and no interactions with me, though my ex claims she had a vivid dream of her.

I've had dreams about dead relatives that were just that...dreams. Nothing in the way of a "crossing over" interaction. Just dreams like any others that involved living people.
Before I understood better the message of the Bible, I might have been scared of the dead. But frankly, now I know the dead are just that -- dead. And if it is God's will, He can bring them back from the dead.

I haven't, though my mother has had many supernatural experiences. Claims that she sees dead relatives, can sense when something is going to happen (like a pregnancy or death of someone she knows), has premonitory dreams, etc.
