Have you "known" people before?

FFH made a kind comment about me and my wife (and he has never met either of us).

Yet, I truly believe that we have known each other before; I can see people and realise that I "know" them, even if we have only just met. It would be "impossible" for my wife and I not to be together, I knew that the second I met her.

I had this feeling when introduced to my Younger son's girlfriend; the best way to describe it is that she was a piece of the jig-saw puzzle. Of course, they may go their separate ways, but that would be a divergence step in his fate .

Does this facet of lives mean anything to anyone else here ? Have you experienced this?
Our lives are divinely arranged, within the circle of our choices..

I can't take credit for that statement, because those are probably/possibly not my own words, but probably/possibly God whispering to my mind, through his spirit..

Those words came clearly and vividly to my mind and had to type them here...

I can feel both of your spirits Michel, both you and your wife, very strongly, as I do with many people here, some more than others, of course the other LDS posters here, but others come to mind like Dawny, Paul, MaddLlama, etc/many others like Feathers, Sunstone...

But I've never met your wife but can feel her spirit strongly, through you I think...

I truly am concerned about you and your wife...

This kind of a diffrent point but I always thought it was interesting to think that there are billions of people in the world, and then if I'm with a group of freinds what are the chances the we would be together now. I think the people who are a part of our lives is not something that happens randomly though at least not all the time, I think God brings people into your life for a reason.

Arent you all admitting to reincarnation or something then?

If you feel like you have known someone then it would have been in a past life not just because of some shared religious belief -- thats silly -- the comment about knowing the son's girlfriend is borderline scary to me -- if some dude's Dad said that to me I would run as far away from that guy as I could -- that just seems very inappropriate to me and scary -- sorry I bet it was harmless

I'm not. I'm just saying that, when I met my best friend, our personalities were so compatable that we became very close almost immediately.

thats awesome -- its hard to find a girl who you can trust and that has your back like that -- sometimes when you meet someone you do just click -- and that rocks -- you go girl

There's a point in what you say that has actually occurred to me.

Now that we have got rid of the "steam radio" and have gone into worldwide communication for everyone (the internet, msn etc), the "chances" of coming across people you "knew before" must he higher ; unless, that is, allowance has been made for just this.

Well I am certainly a believer in it.

I 'm not sure I understand where you're going with this one........

Well, I certainly doidn't tell the girlfriend! I understand she is a non-practising Catholic; I would never spin a comment onto someone I don't know well enough to know that it is safe to do so; I made the comment to my wife who is quite used to such comments from me.

It could be possible that you have known someone before meeting them because you have dreamt of them in a precognative way.
