Having a bad day?

Maybe this will help:

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest Souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars. – Khalil Gibran

I fell asleep with nicotine gum in mouth and woke up with it stuck to my beard. :( literally had to pull em out by the roots.

The rest of the day was depressing too but growing in the ability to deal with it without abusing drugs.

Are you Having what you would consider a good day or bad day?

I'm having a predictably average, boring day. So, pretty good I guess. Did you consider just cutting off the beard rather than pulling it out? Seems that would be less painful.

best wishes in your journey; sojourner.

The goal of a disciplined person is to have neither up or down days.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
Everyday is a ton of physical suffering, but oh well. And i have severe sleep apnea to boot.

Natural death would be So Peaceful, but i have some good things to live for, and i loathe the idea of suicide.

Nature's indifference to human suffering is so evident. I wish there was good reasons for it all.

Maybe i better get me religion. But i aint enjoying the options so far.

Yesterday, I was doing dishes. As I was putting away a mug, a glass next to it started to fall. I tried to grab it and it shattered in my hand.

It needed six stitches and the hand specialist says I probably severed the nerve to the outside of my pinky finger. So, I'm going to be having surgery next week with a 50/50 change of regaining sensation in my finger.

So, yeah, I've had better days.

I spent the day in solitude for the most part. I made a very tiny step forward whilst dodging death yet once more. There was a black widow spider in the shower. Now there is not. I've no idea how many widows there are here, and I wish the wolf spiders and orb spiders and fly spiders would eat them. That would be fantastic in my opinion, but something killed one of my fly spiders recently. I don't know what could have done it. I think the black widow spiders have no real opposition to keep them from rapidly multiplying. Its a tiny bit exciting. One of them took up habitation in one of my boots that I had left lying around in the dark.

Great day, got a rare weapon on my video game. Super stoked about that. Struggling to beat one of the levels created to challenge players. Almost got my strat down, just need to shorten my turns down to 90 from 105. Gonna be tough to shave 15 turns but it's possible. Got invited to a paranormal research group, which I dont really care for. But I met some interesting folks so we will see where that goes, and yeah that about sums up my whole day. Just laying around and occasionally poking folks around on here. Enjoying my week off immensely!

It seems my regimen of ascetics, mental and physical training is working so I've been having a string of good days that I didn't expect I'd ever have again. If there's no way out, just keep on clawing your way out of the hole. That's how we do it! Any victory is a bonus, a scar is a notch on our belts. Those painful days are temporary, but sisu(cojones, grit) is lasting.

Not exactly a bad day. Just starting to realize what a clown I've been in these forums. Maybe we could be partners, but which one of us would be Laurel and which one would be Hardy? Or would it be more like Abbott and Costello or Dean and Jerry, or maybe the Smothers Brothers? Only I can't sing. Or ... or maybe ... wow ... maybe we could invent something entirely new. I've been discussing community service, and what you and I could do together might be wonderful for this community. Maybe we could do that, and still do our own solos at the same time. What do you think? We don't have to worry about splitting up over money issues, because we won't be getting pai--

...

Wait a minute ... your clown act ... this is not ... I mean you aren't ... are you?

The day is what you make it, so saying that i have had a typical day of pressures and pleasures.

Just finished a long... long conversation with a seriously ill family member and will next be preparing food for a bbq.

BTW, a hint for removing sticky stuff, gum etc from hair, soak it in olive oil, leave for 10 minutes and it should pull off no problem.
