Healing for Stroke

Hi
Is there a spirit , demon, or other entity to ask for a stroke recovery ? Thanks!

Welcome to RF, Jack.

I haven't seen any active practitioners of Voudun during my tenure here. Hopefully, we have a lurker that could speak up to better answer your question.

But I'm confident that there will be others of different religious (and non-religious) affiliation that can offer some advise on stroke recovery aid.

FWIW....if cannabis is legal where you live, the results of studies are promising.

"CBD protects the brain after stroke: one day, it could save you!

Brain injuries caused by strokes cause untold human suffering. People who were once active and independent experience partial paralysis and can even lose the power of speech.

The new study not only confirms that CBD is a powerful neuroprotectant, but it also offers tantalizing evidence that CBD could limit other kinds of brain damage too. As you might have guessed, in vitro studies are only a start. Clinical trials come next, and it is likely to be several years before researchers even get close to a final result.

Still, one day, CBD might save your brain. If CBD protects the brain after stroke, it might yet be used in emergency rooms, helping people to recover faster and limiting damage."

Two questions.

A. How is this CBD aid in recovery?
2. Any peer reviewed articles to back this claim?

Traumatic Brain Injury, which i have brings many stroke like deficiencies,
personal experience shows me that a persistent positive attitude helps enormously ...
and use what you have left in ability to compensate for what is lost ....
continue trying,

with regard to CBD, it helps me despite it still being illegal where i live

So much research is being done around the world as word is spreading about this miracle plant, held back from us by greedy commercial interests for decades.

Israel is leading the world on cannabis research and if and when governments can extract themselves from the web of lies that surround the benefits of this plant, and put the interests of patients ahead of financial gain, enormous suffering might just be mitigated in the majority of cases.

From my previous link....

"CBD prevents secondary damage, heals existing damage

Cerebral ischemia, or inadequate blood supply to the brain, caused by a stroke or heart failure can cause severe damage. The blood circulation is usually restored as fast as possible in the emergency room, but secondary ischemia/reperfusion injury is common. Inflammation often occurs, causing oxidative-stress-induced damage in the areas deprived of blood, oxygen, and nutrients.

Dr. Sean McCormick, a cardiac specialist, says that medical teams may one day use CBD extracts in cardiac and stroke emergency units, preventing new damage and healing existing damage. The neuroprotective effects of CBD will not only prevent the onset of debilitating symptoms from stroke or cardiac arrest but also inhibit inflammation by interacting with receptors in the body.

CBD has such great potential

The scientists said they found the CBD molecule demonstrated great potential as a neuroprotective agent to treat neurodegenerative disorders. The study assessed the methodology of the CBD molecule in vitro using the oxygen-glucose-deprivation/reperfusion model (OGD/R) on nerve cells obtained from mice.

Unfortunately, we’ll still have to wait for human trials to get to the bottom line. But simply put, the scientists confirm what other studies have found regarding the neuroprotective properties of CBD.

CBD’s powerful brain protection

The study concluded that CBD has a powerful neuroprotective effect against OGDR injury caused by toxicity, energy crisis or cell metabolism disturbances. CBD prevented oxidative stress. The antioxidant defense preserved the cell bio-energy by activating the pentose-phosphate pathway and maintaining the energy equilibrium, stabilizing the neurons.

The scientists reported that CBD improved basal respiration significantly, keeping the energy and oxygen consumption rate, and capacity of cells to use glucose in OGDR-injured neurons. The Journal of Redox Biology recently published the study’s findings.

This discovery comes shortly after another team of researchers found that CBD might protect neurons in Alzheimer’s disease. This research was also conducted in the laboratory rather than on human volunteers."

Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation and negative propaganda circulating in orthodox medical circles for understandable reasons. Cannabis as an inexpensive medicine that would put most pharma drugs out of general use. Imagine the loss of revenue!

Cannabis is safe and effective, but we need a reliable source of production, so that big pharma can't tamper with the medicine by synthesizing one component and then claiming it doesn't work. Hundreds of thousands of people are living proof that this medicine works in amazing ways...and for a multitude of applications.
