Heavenly beings or Satanic beings?

Serious question:

How might one go about distinguishing between a Heavenly Being and a Satanic Being?

This is an important issue to me

Is there any way of knowing for sure?

How might one tell the difference?

Seeing as Satan in my faith is an angel, I guess that makes it a heavenly being too.

But how might one tell the difference between a being sent by Satan and one sent by God?

How might one interrogate a being to discover its allegiance?

There is no difference. Both are sent by G-d. Satan works for G-d.

I understand that

But an evil being would be on one team and a good being on the other team - one a friend and one an enemy, even if ultimately they both have the same boss...

If you had a strange being in your life wouldn't you want to know if it was Godly or Satanic? A friend or a foe?

I think there is a difference and that it's important to know

If it propagates greed, hatred, or delusion, then it leads to long term harm.
If it propagates a lack of greed, hatred, or delusion, it leads to long term benefit.

There are 'evil' beings but to say they're against G-d would be problematic. I don't know enough about this to comment further, but G-d is in charge of everything, which includes those so-called evil beings. So their power is still limited, as far as I'm aware.

An interesting take, and I understand that you feel you cannot comment further

But I hope you understand my reluctance to associate with a being who has Satan as his line-manager?

But Satan's manager is G-d ;)

I do think heaveanly beings are those who Love.
The Satanic ones are those who hate.

We Christians believe in a very profound separation between Evil and Good.
They cannot coexist as the Gospel says: and angels shall come forth and sever the wicked from among the just.

Yes, he is!

I suppose I should not worry who it comes from and focus instead on whether it's good or wicked, a question which I suppose has little to do with God or Satan.

Although I don't know how I'd explain that to my evangelical friends :D

(they think he's Satanic but I'm becoming less and less sure of that and I'm fed up of being considered a victim)

The human mind is very satanic in nature, very egoic in nature, yet you are not aware of this, don't bother with the "satanic beings", first start working within yourself and then all will make sense.
Absolutely not.
The human mind is predetermined to love.
There are hundreds of evidence it is.

The problem is that we deceive ourselves it is not.

The facts of life tend to disagree with you. The mind has two natures, one higher and one lower, the higher one is the one who expreses unconditional love, while the lower mind, is the carnal mind, the satanic mind, the egoic mind. It's not evil per se, it's just not very evolved.

Very simple. Firstly God does not communicate with humankind right now through angels, so any direct contact with the spiritual realm will be demonic. And of course these spirits will deceive you. That is they will not point you to Jehovah God or his son Jesus Christ. They will lie about the condition of the dead, about who Jesus is. And about your relationship with Jehovah God. They will usually start out as benign or feign even to be holy. But the more you communicate with them the more unholy you will see they are, the more pernicious and evil their attacks and lies become.

Well...I have a more optimistic vision of human nature...:p
I guess Dharmic religions are more forward than us Christians since they define the degrees of awareness...which inevitably lead to love.

Positive forces are inherently about love and the action of love which is kindness and self-forgetfulness.

Negative forces pump up one's ego as being special and having been given a special role.

By paying attention to the best and worst people in history, one's discrimination is sharpened.

Scripture, please?

That is they will not point you to Jehovah God or his son Jesus Christ.
My being gave me lots of encouragement to go to church and is one of the reasons I came to believe in God (amongst others reasons...)

the more you communicate with them the more unholy you will see they are
I see no evidence that my being is "unholy" - I've had it since 2004 and it's never done anything "unholy"

Scripture, please?

The first one is this:

"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."-2 Timothy 3:16.

The Bible is the complete inspired word of God for us at this time. Notice that it lacks nothing. With it the man of God my be "fully competent" and "completely equipped." Any other revelation that came after it is not inspired of God.

Notice that the Bible puts a curse on anyone man or angel that comes and adds to what has been given to us in the Holy Scriptures of truth found in the Bible:

"However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond the good news we declared to you, let him be accursed."-Galatians 1:8.

All so-called holy texts that came after the Bible was completed at Revelation have to be inspired teachings of demons, including the Koran, and the Book of Mormon, and other so-called works given by angels:

"However, the inspired word clearly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired statements and teachings of demons"-1 Timothy 4:1

Demons will lie to you about the nature of Jesus. Many will have you believe he is God. Or that God works through unholy religions that profess the name of God (even though they don't use Jehovah's name) but scripture says that Satan transforms himself into an angel of light, and his ministers into ministers of righteousness but their end will be according to their work:

"Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light.  It is therefore nothing extraordinary if his ministers also keep disguising themselves as ministers of righteousness. But their end will be according to their works."-2 Corinthians 11:14, 15.

All the inspired gifts the first century Christians had vanished with them. The only ones who had gifts of the spirit, to prophecy, to have divine revelations, to heal, to speak in tongues, etc. all of them had hands laid on them by one of the 12 apostles or Paul. When the apostles died off the gifts of the spirit died off with them, also divine revelation, and prophecy:

"But if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease."-1 Corinthians 13:8.

But it will be very obvious because again, what the divine spirits teach will be in contradiction to the good news of the Christ found in Holy Scripture, 100% of the time, to fool and mislead many.

"“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’  And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’"-Matthew 7:21-23.

IF you meet a man or a woman, are you able to distinguish who is good and who is demonic, when they are being around you?

Similar you can distinguish the Heavenly Beings and Satanic Beings, use the same tools to distinguish which one you prefer
