I think I'll need to avoid sharing good information from time to time. I mainly wonder if anyone actually knows anything here.

There sure are - I am an expert on just about everything so please feel free to ask me a question and I will give you a reply when I have properly considered it.

Any question at all - the deeper the better .. it's my speciality.

Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy your interactions with our mob!

All the best.

Welcome to RF, Kelsey.

Q: What is the "typical atheist stance?"

It's been my observation that the atheist-theist animosity is pretty one sided, with the faithful feeling threatened and defensive and the infidels ignoring the controversy unless challenged.

Reply:

The typical atheist stance is limited to disbelief in God(s). It doesn't address the possibility that nature provides eternal existence of self.

As to animosity being one-sided, I respectfully disagree. I've seen too many challenging and impolite replies to benign religious posts.

I'm new here and just getting oriented.

The site looks sharply designed, but the prompts to post should be far more immediate and prominent.

My position on religion is as follows:

I believe that nature alone is sufficient to explain creation and eternal existence of self. I don't favor the typical atheist stance over that of the faithful, and I don't like the animosity between these camps. I tread the middle as a moderate- but am as far from being either a fence-sitter or a Buddhist as you can imagine.

I'll try to be polite and informative, and hopefully I'll find something of interest here.

Welcome and look forward to a chat or two.

The middle ground is safe and wise.

Regards Tony

I don't imagine anyone here know anything about...

* Beliefs quantification and relativity
* Proving systems and conclusiveness
*The modern understanding of recurrence
I look forward to any posts you make on these subjects and learning what you mean.

Hard to tell. None of these phrases seem to have common definitions, so you'd have to explain what you mean by these phrases.

Welcome to the forum, but I think you are way to hard on yourself; now that you are a member you are one of us!

These seems like very good topics for conversation.

I would have given you three 'Winners' for that response, but we are only allowed one at a time.
So far so good.
Enjoy. :)
