Good Afternoon!

My name is Danni and I'm an English Teacher from New York. I would tend to describe myself as a Pagan, but in all honestly, there is no true label that can be put on what I believe. I'm 1/4 Native American and I was raised in both the Catholic faith and that of my ancestors. Currently, I have departed from the Roman Catholic background from which I was raised and was very active in and become more involved in discovering more about my ancestors and their belief systems.

I also attended St. John's University where I minored in Theology, mainly for the purpose of understanding many of the religious, both Christian and Greek, in literature.

So, that's me in a religious nutshell.

Good day.

Welcome Danni! I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here. What part of New York are you from?

*wave* Hi hunnie, I <3 you!

I really hope you have a better time here than you have elsewhere. At least now maybe you'll actually be able to have an intelligent conversation about religion with someone other than...me. XD

Do I get extra points for this? :D

I grew up in Commack, NY (Long Island) and now my fiance and I reside in Bellport, which is further east on the island.

Always concerned about the points aren't you? *waves back*

Thank you for inviting me dear. I'm sure this will be much more fun than getting an anneurism from kids that cannot have an intelligent conversation.

Really? I absolutely LOVE New York City. It is the most incredible city in the U.S., in my opinion. I could go there every year of my life and never grow tired of it.

By the way, I also have a degree in English. I never did teach English, though. What grade do you teach?

I see you already know MaddLlama. :) I was going to mention her to you.

Yes! Maddlama and I went to High School together. She's actually sitting next to me on the other computer in the room. *s*******

This year will be my second year teaching English and my first year teaching 10th grade. I just got a new job and I'm really excited about it.

New York City was my second home when I was in college. I spend at least 6 nights a week there going to shows and clubs with friends. I miss going there, but it is a very different place now. A lot of what I loved to do there has become very trendy and hipster and I've become a grouchy old lady (jk).

welcome! there are a number of first nations people on the forums, and a whole lotta pagans!

I'm not exactly pagan. I should change it on the profile. I honestly don't know what to put for myself since I follow Native American practices. I just felt it would be easiest to wirte Pagan. *shrugs*
