Always Changing
Namaste and welcome to RF!
I'm still new to learning about different religions, but I'm pretty sure that's a Hindu greeting, correct? Or is it Buddhism?

Namaste, and welcome to the RF family. Namaste is a greeting, a sign of respect. Translated means, "May the divine in meet greet the divine in you" and its used in Buddhist, Hindu, Native American tribes, and in Yoga practices.

Thank you everyone. Powder, it is from Hindu sanscrit and means 'bow to you.'

Namaste literally means, "I bow to you", but the interpretation is that of, "I bow to [the divinity in] you!".

A "Hindu" is someone from the religion of Hinduism.

Sanskrit is an ancient Indian language used in Hindu scriptures and the epics, but it cannot be part of any religion, and therefore cannot be "Hindu".

It is used in primarly in Hinduism and Buddhism.
