Wow, nice looking bike. Bikes are way to scary for me.This is my toy.View attachment 20898
Oh those are way cool. I have seen those with motorcycle engines. In fact my first omg I want that at 12 was a go cart with side tanks and a 500cc yamaha motor on the back in like 1968. The closest I ever came to that in a car was a 1992 Toyota mr2 turbo which is a mid engine. I got it sideways down a country road at night going 80. Never left the lane was staring at the side of The road, cranked it back, it flipped around dead straight back down the road. It was omg I am an idiot and wow I am a super driver all at the same time. Lol.

Helix is made in Toronto, Canuckistan by a brand new company.
Titanium frame....24" wheels....folds into airline sized suitcase.
I opted for the 10 speed version.

My other older bike looks like this'n.

Yes on the triumph. I had the 68 '500 scrambler. Green of course.

In regards to the folding bike that's cool. Well technically cool but also geeky engineering!! Like do you have helmet mirrors?

I of course was a bike racer in the day.

I had one of those too...just a bit earlier.

Helmet mounted mirror?
Of course!
After being run down by a drunk driver (on purpose)
once, I have mirror on both the helmet & the bike.

I don't think I had a mirror back in the day (1978ish).
But at least I had one of those early ugly Bell helmets.
Btw, it wasn't an accident.
The guy admitted to the cops that he tried to kill me.
But his being drunk & a veteran prolly explains why
he only lost his driver license for a year. Paranoia
now rules my biking.

I think to answer your question I first need to make what I believe to be a few foundation truths.
1. we are all complete in ourselves
2. we all need more than one person in our lives

Hollywood has sold us the lie that we should all be looking for our other half,/ soul mate. If this is true which I dont believe it is then by definition we are incomplete people. Most relationships fail due to unmet needs. Monogamy states that you find one person and they will meet all your needs, sounds good in theory, but doesn't work for the majority of the worlds people. To have a paradigm shift in world view one must look outside the box.

We are in a Polyamorous relationship, my long term partner of 43 years and our shared Japanese girlfriend. Been living together as a threesome for 9 years and its wonderful. No fights, no control, no jealousy.

I'm voluntarily celibate, but would be in an open relationship or no relationship if I were not.

Paranoia rules my motorcycling. The green off road bike I own, the previous owner was killed on it. Maybe paranoia isn't quite right maybe extreme alertness is the better word. Motorcycling is potentially extremely dangerous and does not lend itself to daydreaming at all. So I understand what you mean. Except for the helmet mirror. Glad you survived and lucky you to survive to later receive crap from folks like me... I mean how lucky is that?!

Here's the mirror I recently bought (EVT)....

It's bigger, more stable, & more securely mountable than one's I've had in the past.
Of course, it's also the spendiest.

Btw, to receive crap for such nerdy things is wonderful.

If you moved to Alberta on purpose you’re crazy. It’s too cold. I moved here on purpose and ask around. I’m nuts.

And I have to admit from a pure engineering perspective that is cool.

The Perfumed Seneschal
Hi my name is Terry Johns, I am an ex-pat raised in the UK but now living in Alberta, Canada. I work in Psychology as a Couples Coach and as a side business I'm a High Performance Driving Instructor. I've been with my partner Chris for 43 years, two adult children and two grandsons.

I am an ex fundamentalist christian which I walked away from several years ago. I have been very inspired by the teachings of Bishop John Shelby Spong.

The truth is, the body is 65 the rest is 40. Looking forward to some good conversations

Terry
I was born in Alberta. So, in a way, we're kind of......... brothers!

Welcome from the heathen end of Denmark, Terry! I appreciate your break with fundamentalism, the relation to the gods can be found in the heart, not in the books and their fanatical interpreters.
