I am planning to do some walking and some running in the morning ...

I was a person that used to go to the gym and i developed a golfers elbow issue and i have been waiting for it to heal since the last 9 months ...

I think it takes more time to heal completely ...

Aerobic exercise alone without any strength training can be a bit boring but i am planning to do it anyway

Thanks :)

I've been running for about 50 years and have yet to get bored. My brain does some of its best thinking when I take it out for some fresh air. (Just got back from a 5 mile trot)...

This year my goal is to increase my exercise routine and the first 2 weeks I was doing good. Then the temperature dropped below 20 degrees (stopped walking) and I had sleep issues and more overtime (stopped strength and aerobic exercises). The temperature is rising again, the overtime has cleared, and I started sleeping better again here's hoping.

You have no idea how helpful your posts about your self-development have been to me this week. They came to mind when I was especially struggling with finishing some tasks.

Thanks for sharing your plans with other RFers. The persistence is inspiring.

50 years?! You must be exhausted!! I'm usually tuckered out after about a couple of hours of just walking! You should stop and rest at some point...maybe get a drink of water.

That is so nice ...

I am planning to wake up in the morning and i am planning to reach the beach early in the morning itself ...

My plan is to reach the beach at around 6.30 itself

Its only 4 kilometers away from my home ...

And i am planning to do a mix of walking and jogging for at least 30 minutes :)

Yes , try to increase it in small small steps

I have been to at least 3 different gyms in the past 5 years ...

The longest straight run was a whole year in the gym ...

But you learn something everyday ...

The last thing i learned was that avoid overdoing exercises , that can easily lead to injury :)

i am glad i could offer some help with some posts

Make rest a necessity, not an objective. Only rest long enough to gather strength.

Good luck with your new regime. Let us know how it goes

I woke up at 5.30 today ...

And after some preparations i reached the beach at 6.45 and started walking near the sea from 7 ... and continued till 7.40

I mixed it up with some walking and with a little jogging

i think i ran for at least 300 meters ... 100 meters , 3 times at different times during those walking sessions ...

I already feel better

Thanks :)

Yes , same thing on Monday

Woke up at 5.30 in the morning ...

Left home at 6.30 ... reached the beach at 6.50 ...

Started waking in the beach at 6.55 and continued till 7.40

That mostly involved brisk walking and some 200 meter running ...

After that i just came back home

Feeling better :)

Once upon a time, when stopped by the police, the officer figured I looked very tired. (under the influence of a certain smokey substance now legal in Canada) He asked me how long I'd been driving, and my answer was 2 years. He suggested we pull over for awhile and have a rest.

Walking and light jogging by the beach sounds like a perfect way to ease back in without risking it again. Aerobics alone can get a bit dull, but just getting outside, especially near the water, makes a big difference.
