Yea, it really is something that we have to learn. Here in Canada the fear of offending people is at an epidemic level. These people need to start taking responsibility for there own reaction instead of blaming others.

What sort of history teaches that Jesus was around "back then?" When was "back then?"
The Bible's an anthology of a thousand years of heavily edited myths, fables and historical accounts, assembled and voted on by a committee. Obviously none of it was written by Jesus.

The Earth was formed billions of years ago. Modern humans have only been around a couple hundred thousand years. If all of history were condensed into 24 hours, we'd have been here less than a second.

If Jesus was an actual historical figure he had a mom and dad like any other person. Did anyone come before Him? Are you asking if He was the first person on Earth?
Why can only believing Christians find out about Jesus? Christianity isn't a research organization, plus they are biased and have pre conceived and unsupported opinions on the matter.

I toy with the idea of where each individual atom had been that is presently in my body.

I figure whatever the atoms were a part of, entails the entire history up to my birth, life and, eventual death and then on to the next thing when the sense of "I" disappears.

I suppose it would be honest to say we were a lot of things, and our true age would make us quite ancient to say at the least.
