Hello Religious Forums!
In the past I've participated on a different, now-closed forum where religious discussions were frequent to a degree that I found unwelcome, but since leaving that forum I've developed nostalgia for the passionate, often fiery discussions.
Personally I consider myself atheist, as I believe the absence of an Abrahamic deity can reasonably be asserted. I also call myself Humanist as I stand for human respect and decency.
My upbringing had few religious influences. I have grown up in a Nordic country, with egalitarian values, and where religion is considered largely a private affair. I find religion curious and to some degree intimidating.
