Obviously it's a simplified sign for....

There's a town in Austria which just changed its name to "Fugging," as it was previously spelled and sounded exactly like a word considered most vulgar in the English language. They apparently resisted changing their name for a long time, although they had problems with their town signs being stolen. There were also couples who were caught photographing themselves while performing lewd acts in front of the sign.

"Intercourse" has nothing to do with sex. The word means communication, discussion, talk. It's use in a sexual sense is euphemistic.
Sexual intercourse.
Sexual congress.
Sexual relations.

Neither intercourse, congress or relations, by themselves, mean anything sexual.

Recently I've begun hearing the same misunderstanding over the usage of "chauvinist."
Chauvinism is extreme patriotism, jingoism or nationalism. It has nothing to do with male domination of women. "Male chauvinism" is just a comparison of sexual dominance with political jingoism.

You would make an awful straight man.
