Help to feel Anger?

Certain people have done very bad things to me, but I end up forgiving them and love them just as they did nothing.

I feel that I need to express my Anger in some way?

As I am feeling resentment, which is not nice.

Has anyone had this issue before? any tips?

I think part of me doesn't want to feel it because I am scared I will not be able to control it/hurt someone,

No.......stop. Seriously.

I agree with much of Brickjectivity......but .......find some help.

Everyone feels resentment..........usually based upon minor offenses........we all have anger.......but the ability to control to hurt someone.....

Please call someone.

I mean you can go off on my last response to you in whatever thread....meaningless and not helpful...I'm utter garbage on this thread.

Seriously please........ignore those talking about fear or anger.......talk to a professional.

Talk to those who have similar experiences. Please.

This was manly an exploration of my phyce
A therapist said I should express my anger, instead I just revert into my shell and see how I can change in the situation rather then clearly seeing the others wrong.
I have noticed I can mentally feel it, but It never get's expressed as an emotion fully.
by not control I mean that I will get angry for a long period of time and not be able to get rid of it, this is just a sub conscious fear

You really need to get in touch with your feelings. Emotions are there for a reason. Understand them and let them play themselves out. It is when they are bottled up that they can become problematic. Dealing with pent up emotion is a bit tricky as one tends to overdo the emotion after the fact. Anger can be an especially empowering emotion but many consider it to be negative and prone to violence. IF you understand exactly why you are angry you can use that anger to facilitate change in your life. It's not easy, but anger can unleash the energy you may need to effect change.

IF possible, the next time you are angry, try to get to a place where you are alone. FEEL the anger. Understand why you are feeling the way you are and start thinking of how you can make things better.

Thank you. I find this anger to feel positive as it shows that I finally see value in myself to be angry.
I have been belittled/punished as a child for showing signs of frustration/anger/sticking up for myself/standing my ground, when it was just - so that was my pattern ... to push it down and expect to be hit. I have only ever really felt it once in my life that I can remember.
I will try that next time, sometimes it helps someone to talk it through with even if it seams simple, I put a note in my brains.
I feel the anger will help me move forward also.

Anger fuelled correctly is a positive expression of what needs to be changed. You can forgive people but that doesn't mean giving them a free pass to do it again. Let yourself feel the injustice and use it to protect yourself against abuse.

That is because you have repressed it so long it has grown into the giant monster lurking in the background of your mind. Don't feel it all in one go. Give it time. Yes you will mistakes, as I did when I started this journey, but you will mature with practice.

You may have misunderstood. I have been too soft-spoken and have had a tendency to not stand up for myself. I WANT to feel anger to help set my boundaries, stand my worth ect..
I was around a lot of anger as a kid and I think I told myself to never be that way. I have done it too extreme to my determent.

Hi Electra,

I'm not referring to you. I just shared my experiences before. Well, my childhood experiences tell me to hate my mom because of the spanking and so much discipline that I had. I become inferior of myself and lack of self-confidence. I also don't want to be that way.
