Hershey's brown chocolate vs white chocolate.Which one is better?For me it is brown chocolate.:)

Hersheys "chocolate" actually doesn't count as chocolate over this side of the Atlantic

A Hershey "chocolate" bar has around 11% cocoa, in Europe there is a minimum requirement of 25% cocoa.

I understand that in America they have much lower standards and the minimum requirement is only 10%

So in America it's chocolate, in Europe it's not chocolate

I like chocolate, too. Not much of a fan of white chocolate, though.

Much higher cocoa levels for me. 70% or more. My wife prefers 90% +, and even my kids would find 11% pretty sickly in short order.

Eu standard is 2.5001 times higher than the low revoltistan standard

First off, white chocolate isn't chocolate. It's not chocolate at all as it doesn't even have cocoa solids.
Second, I rank Hersheys down at the bottom for chocolate. I'd rather have Dove/Galaxy chocolate.

I'm not a fan of white chocolate but you can get it with a pretty decent cocoa level.

See's Candies is my chocolate of choice. Even more so when I found out that Guittard supplies their chocolate. Guittard has the best semi-sweet baking chips I've found yet. And more even more so when I learned that the See's Candies production line was where they filmed the I Love Lucy candy conveyor belt scene. :)

Regular Hershey's doesn't count for chocolate for everyone here, either.

Though Hershey's dark chocolate is 45% cacao. And when you're downwind of the factory, the town of Hershey, PA smells like it's made of chocolate. And the street lamps are shaped like Hershey Kisses. Can't be good for people trying to diet. LOL

I don't really buy chocolate all that often, but when I do it's usually an impulse buy when I'm passing by a chocolate shop or something. Every once in a while I'll buy some chocolate when shopping at asian stores too. Japanese and Korean chocolates are really nice
