Hey

How I came across this board I don't know, I was doing some research, clicked a link and found a thread here. The place looks interesting so I thought I'd join. :)
I'm 21 years old and I've been (I hate to say it, but it's true) obessed with religions and theology for about a decade. I was raised in a sort of New Age faith, but it wasn't in the forefront. No special prayers, no rituals, no place of worship, no religious hoildays, etc. God was there, but more as some distant presence. When I was 11 I declared myself an atheist and it wasn't until I was 13 that I even considered theism. From there was my seemingly endless search. I've reasearched more religions and spiritual paths it's not even funny. Some more in depth than others of course. I kept thinking if I kept looking I'd find something perfect for me. Never happened. I do enjoy reading, learning, and researching other faiths...it's a sort of past time. Unlike most people when I'm board I like to get theological, it's something that I can never answer fully and that keeps me from getting bored. I'm accepting of others beliefs in general, but I do have problems with many intolerant beliefs some people of some faiths carry.
I don't have a religion or affiliation. There are beliefs in just about all the paths out there that I can identify with, but not one path fits me. I consider myself agnostic with theistic tendencies, too.
Yup

Lux is latin for Light
Umbra is latin for Shadow
As far as I know "et" implies And
So "light and shadow"
I chose it because: 1. I like latin 2. I like the symbolism of darkness and light
