I believe the bible is God's word and that God the Father and Jesus Christ are one and the same and if you don't believe in Jesus Christ as your redeemer and what the 4 Gospels teach you stand at the door of Hell Fire and will burn for ever;
Example of a lost person; most likely

Hello, and welcome to the forums. As for the idea of "once saved, always saved," I, personally, could never bring myself to believe in it, even when I was a practicing Christian. It never seemed like a fair and justifiable doctrine to me. I couldn't help but think of this hypothetical scenario with 2 men. Say one of them is a Christian, and the other is a non-believer. The Christian man is a drunkard who abuses his wife and children his entire life, but gets "saved" on his death bed. Upon his death he goes to heaven. Say the non-believer who doesn't drink, loves his wife and kids, and would never do anything to harm any of them also dies. He died a non- believer. He spends eternity roasting and being tortured in hell. Do you believe this is fair?

Hello and welcome! Sounds like you are pretty set in your ideas and single subject in focus. Will you be sharing ideas and asking about other faiths and paths, or making it clear on the one subject (eg ShivaFan will burn in Hell). It is ok, I had my life threatened and so on for being Hindu but I am sort of a happy go lucky guy who sort of is both street wise and fearless. There have been lots of humans who have gone to hells and then came back to tell about it. Some went there to find friends, perhaps some lost item or treasure, or just for kind of a vacation. There are lots of hells and heavens (from data gathered by adventurers as well as pirate types) but it is ok if you do not agree.

I believe in Once Saved Always Saved. I was saved through the Church and once you are a part of the Church. you are always part of the Church. You can fall astray or go intentionally go astray, but, in translation, I don't see Christ or God turning anyone away who wants to return to Him.

And picking up the Hosts of Hel, Naglfar commanded by Surtr shall one day break free and bring about the Ragnarok.

Slow down dude.
Some of us have been here for awhile and we do things short and concise.

It's more fun and to the point.

So.....with all due respect to the Lady.....I don't believe my salvation depends on what happened between her knees.
sorry if that seems rude.

My apologies to Her first.
I have no doubt Her position is secure and revered.
I am but a schmuck at Her feet.

Still....it is the parables of the Carpenter that are the salvation.
His teachings laid to mind and heart are the pivot point.

How does once saved, always saved apply to those who left the Church? For good? Wanting nothing to do with it ever again?

I asked that since i stopped officially practicing three years ago. The Church teaches once you are baptised jnto the hurch you are always a part of the Church. The only ways you can leave the Church is if you went to the parish you comfirmed and ask to relieve you of taking the sacraments. If youre clergy you coukd be excumunicated...im sure thats the same with divorcing without the churches approval.

How I see these is...when you tell them you dont want to receive the sacraments and signng (or whatever they do) to confirm it thats when you are not saved (no OSAS)...as long as youre part of the Church there is OSAS and the backup purgatory.
