Higher Dimensions

For people out there that think higher dimensions exist, explain to me why you don’t think this dimension is high enough for you?

It's not a matter of thinking this dimension isn't high enough for me. It's a matter of there simply being more than meets the eye.
Idk, the eye is pretty perceptive for seeing and the ears are pretty perceptive for hearing and the hands, nose, mouth, etc etc etc.

Do you think we have a sixth sense in this higher dimension that gets activated?

I don't understand your logic. Just because something else exists doesn't mean the original something isn't enough.

I believe faster cars than mine exist, but my car is fast enough for me.

Fair enough

What do you like about it that makes it good?
Waking up every morning. Having enough food to eat. Having a roof over my head. Having a beautiful daughter and a beautiful granddaughter. Meeting new people and striking up conversations. Freedom. Love.

There are a great deal more. Those are a few off the top of my head.

But not all people on Earth have comfort or love

Some are suffering and deprived

I can see how the world is good for you but I think it is a leap to go from there to characterising the whole thing as good

How high do you want to go? 4? Time is the 4th dimension.

Higher than that it's difficult and needs mathematics to to help sort out human limitations.

The Kaluza-Klein theory attempts to spread gravity through 5 dimensions.

String theory uses an additional 9 or 10 spatial dimensions plus time giving 10 or 11 dimensions.

M theory suggests 11 dimensions.

Whether extra dimensions exist or not they are handy for explaining some weird stuff about the universe.

You asked me what like about it that makes it good, not what all people on Earth like about it and what they think makes it good. And I wasn't speaking of being loved. I was speaking about the ability to love.

These things didn't just fall into my lap. They were the result of decisions and hard work. Actions have consequences, both good and bad.

I can see how the world is good for you but I think it is a leap to go from there to characterising the whole thing as good
My life isn't perfect, but I look for the good in my life and have gratitude for it. I would say it's not about what one has that determines if the whole thing is good; it's about state of mind. If you think the world is crappy, it probably will be for you.

I don't consider other dimensions (the otherworlds) to be "higher" just... other. Spatial references routinely fail to apply and are, at most, symbolic rather than literal. For example in traditions that follow the three worlds model, the "upper world" and "lower world" are not literally above or below the "middle world" that humans inhabit, it's a way of referencing things that are ground-of-being versus transcendence-of-being (though interpretations vary amongst traditions).

So what are these other dimensions like? Are they above and beyond what we see hear taste touch and smell? Do we have a sixth sense that gets activated?

Use your imagination. That's the primary way humans interact with the otherworlds. It's not that complicated, except when it is.

Different cultures and traditions have, as expected, varying opinions and experiences on the matter. It would take quite some time to go into it, even just limiting to my own tradition. Honestly, I don't much care what is believed about these things and focus on the experience which is not atypical for Pagans. Words are routinely a poor conveyance for the experiences. In part because unless you've been there it just sounds... modern culture is pretty hostile to it, unfortunately. In spite of routinely engaging with otherworlds (e.g., "fictional" universes), which is a bit weird, but it is what it is.

I'm not sure if qualify to answer.

I prefer to use the word "realm" or "domain" not dimension, and, I do not describe them as "higher" or "lower". They are "super-imposed" on each other, co-existing, concurrent, and omnipresent.
