Welcome, Bhairava.

I would be interested if you share your background as a Kapalika; to which āmnāya do you belong?

Kapalika at heart as Im sure most followers of Kashmir Shaivism are. Is that the proper term? My mala beads for a dozen years have been made of bone and so is my OM necklace. Dont live on cremation grounds or have a skull to eat and drink out of or anything but plan on donating my skull, mala beads and bones to be made into mala beads when Im dead if thats possible. Would Trika Shaivism be the correct way to phrase it? The most accurate would be Spanda Shaivism but I dont know if thats the proper way to say it. What do you think?

Yes, I'd say so - to my knowledge Kapalikas do not exist as a distinct lineage anymore, their śrotas and śastras were absorbed into the siddha/kaula lineages which fused ati and mantra marga-s;. Trika (Kaśmir Śaivism) is a part of the siddha/kaula tradition; some wold say the part par excellence.

Yes

Spanda is one of four component philosophies/practices which were synthesized as the Trika by Sri Abhinavagupta-ji. All of these are built on the "āgama śastra" - the revealed scripture itself (of which the Malinivijayottara is probably the most central) then we have "spanda śastra" and "pratyabhijna" śastra - as well as the kula and krama śastras - to the extent these differ from āgama śastra.

Check out Vasudeva Somadeva's translation. It isn't complete, but has a great deal of content. He's a pupil of Sanderson.

dear surya deva ,

Yes, I must say I have lurked many a times in the Satanism/Setianism forums, but really shouldn't be telling you that as many Hindus here already think I am evil :D

not evil just confused :(

Perhaps, one of the most 'satanic' paths comes from Hinduism itself: Tantra and the greatest depiction of this is Shiva who is smeared with cremation ash. I am strongly drawn to the symbol of Shiva, ....

for me Shiva represents the empowered individual, meditating to realize that they are actually the supreme being.
I am not even shavite but out of respect for shiva I find this remark a touch offensive

I follow a moderate LHP path involving promiscuous sex, alochol, meat eating and the occasional smoking - but you know what, I just described the average modern lifestyle lol
after reading your later posts , I hope you tire of this behavior soon as it is injorous to your self and to others , but dont just think , ...Oh , I will indulge in this life time , get it out of my system and be free of desire in the next as it is not that simple , it is an adiction which robs one of inteligence binding one to ignorance .

I am not simply being judgemental , I am simply sujesting you concider your path carefully .
