I don't think there is any such verse that states that explicitly, but its seen more in the practice, and belief. Hindus believe all humans are divine. All life is sacred. There is no heaven/hell duality, where some people are divine, whilst others are evil.

Bhagavad Gita 4.11 Whosoever worship Me through whatsoever path, I verily accept and bless them in that way. Men everywhere follow My path.

I take this as Sri Krishna saying that by whatever name you call God, or whatever religion you follow, you are indeed following only Krishna.

I dont think there is a exact Mantra from the Vedas stating "Hinduism" is a "UNIVERSAL RELIGION", there may be quotes from the Bhagvad Gita see Jaynarayans reply, or Upanishads ect.

But if you are looking for something that says "believe in Hinduism because it is a Universal religion", then no, i dont think any scriptures explicitly say this.

Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) is not like Christianity or Islam, it represents a code of conduct and system that has spiritual freedom as its core. Any spiritual vision that accepts the spiritual freedom of others may be considered part of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism), hence that is why many followers call Hinduism a Universal religion.

The more appropriate thing to call Hinduism will be by its original name "Sanatana Dharma"

Again you may not even find this (Sanatana Dharma) mentioned in the Vedas,

"Sanatana" is a Sanskrit word that denotes that which which is Anadi (beginningless), Anantha (endless) and does not cease to be, that which is eternal and everlasting. With its rich connotations, Dharma is not translatable to any other language. Dharma is from dhri, meaning to hold together, to sustain. Its approximate meaning is "Natural Law," or those principles of reality which are inherent in the very nature and design of the universe. Thus the term Sanatana Dharma can be roughly translated to mean "the natural, ancient and eternal way.",

and its earliest and most important scriptures is the Vedas, and we know this because the Vedas are also considered Anadi and Apurusheya, so logically if one adheres to the spiritual teachings within the Vedas, they are called to be followers of Sanatana Dharma and after a great period of time the Teachings them self have been called Sanatana Dharma, which these days is known as Hinduism.

Hope this makes sense.

You won't find any, because the concept of universal religion didn't exist until VERY recently (as in, a few centuries.)

Some Sages make the claim that it is based on their own understanding.
