He is of the order of Buddha and Socrates.

Life History :

Age 8:Masters vedas
Age 12(i think):Becomes Ascetic.
In ten years:Realizes the mystic Goal.
Then write commentaries on all the Shrutis.
Travels all over India and sets up centres at four corners.
Age 32:Dies

One problem ,He sent Buddhist scratching their heads in religious debates. That led to the decline of Buddhism in India.
This was pretty sad, Buddhism generally has the highest values(certainly better than Hinduism for daily life) and it is only religion that does not foolish things like caste system.

Buddhism has high values,it was common in India till the Islamic invasion. Both Buddhist's and Hindu’s lived in peace. Not all sects of Hinduism excepted the caste system. From the perspective of many Hindu’s Buddhism is just one more sect of the many faiths from south Asia. No different from Folks who followed Shiva or Vishnu. The worst that could be said about them is they were unorthodox.

i doubt that, those other than monks struggled to apply buddhism to their daily life and this led to declination from India.

i found one website where books written by swami ramasukhdasji are available to be read online.
the link is Com.org - Only the best links ...
one of the famous books by ramasukhdasji is Saadhak Sanjeevani published by Geeta Press. it is a commentary by Ramasukhdasji on the Bhagavad Geeta

I would just like to comment for our friends that do not know. The Gita Press keeps a very high level of scholarship.

Friend krishnakanta,

I would suggest staying away from Griffith's translations. They are notoriously bad. He and other "indologists" of the 19th century translated Hindu texts to show the superiority of Christianity.

Request you to kindly start a thread with the same and pointing out where he has erred.
This way everyone will know the actual RV as it should be.

Thirumantiram

Tirumantiram is the seminal text of Saiva-Siddhanta which has produced a galaxy of saints and has powerfully influenced the day-to day life of millions in South India, generation after generation. Its author Tirumular was, according to legend, a yogi who took compassion on a herd of cattle that had lost their shepherd and entering the body of the shepherd by his yogic power, continued to look after the flock. So when we find in this great classic such splendid gems as 'Anbe Sivam' --God is Love-- we realize that the great yogi preacfied only what he lived. His fervent message that the Ultimate Reality is one and all of us belong to the same family has special relevance to us moderns, who have lost our moorings of faith and are 'wandering between two worlds, one dead, the other powerless to be born.' A part from its literary merits, Tirumantiram blazes a number of spiritual trails any of which the aspirant can follow with the full confidence that the Goal Supreme is within his reach.

Reincarnation of 'Anti-religion'
Vasishta Maha Ramayana or Yoga Vasishta is the most ancient work in Sanskrit on the Vedic Principle. This monumental work is definitely one without a second in Sanskrit literature. Sage Vasishta, is teaching principles of Vedanta to his royal pupil, Sri Rama, the conqueror of Ravana and hero of the ancient epic, Ramayana. He talks through beautiful and interesting stories to illustrate the principles. The book is written in the language of Valmiki.

It is undoubtedly, the crest-jewel of all the works on Vedanta. A study of the book raises a man to the lofty heights of divine splendor and bliss. It is really a vast storehouse of wisdom. Those who are bent to the ways of knowledge will find a priceless treasure in this marvelous book. He who studies the book with great interest and one-pointedness of mind cannot go without attaining Self-Realization.
