It's only money... It comes and it goes. If you're overly attached to it your life is miserable.

War is a tough thing, but there is a duty to protect the innocent. You would hope you can avoid it, but that isn't always possible. Every country will go to war, but it must go for the right reasons, not the kind that makes evil in the world.

I hate to point out the obvious, but it is rather easy to say something like, "There will be another great depression or war.", such things are basically inevitable.

Yes, non-attachment is a good thing and I sure hope yours towards money holds up when you don't have enough to buy food, clothing or shelter. However, I'll wager you'll be somewhere near the front of the bread line to avail yourself of the support offered by the "Marxists" (Democrats you revile in your "43 Alumni for Biden" post) or the good people who create the soup kitchens.

Likewise, yes, war is a tough thing. But the last righteous war to protect the innocent that the United States engaged in was WWII. Every one of them since has been for somebody's financial or political profit.

And what a craven, cynical outlook to claim wars and depressions are inevitable, like God has ordained them or something. Humans make choices to pursue paths of destruction and God doesn't usually intervene. We don't move His bliss needle one bit with our machinations.

And we have the childish orange clown in the White House to thank for such dismal choices. IF we'd done what all of the experts said we should do during the lock-down and initiated widespread testing so that we could track the spread of the virus, we might well be like New Zealand now, which hasn't has a new case in 3 weeks and has fully opened up their economy again. Instead the Moron in Chief did everything in his power to SLOW DOWN testing and downplay the seriousness of the crisis, so that now we get to be treated to ANOTHER massive lock down in the near future, with thousands of additional deaths and a huge kick in the head to our economy.

Is America great enough again for you folks?

Well to be fair, New Zealand is a much smaller place than United States and arguably much more manageable.

Now if you could find a comparable example similar to the population and density of the United States, then you may very well have a fair point.

Actually the experts are almost in unanimous agreement... the same tactics that work in a much smaller nation are ALSO the same tactics that would have worked in a much larger nation like ours. So let's be fair... the size of the USA has virtually nothing to do with it and Trump doing the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the experts suggested does.

I just realize that there are always conflicts and sometimes words aren't enough. Anyway, it's just a big experiment to get people to realize their nature. If they gotta go through tons of **** or lives to do it, so be it.
