Your point being?I heard he tore the warning label off of his mattress too.
It isn't. It's your ignorance of history that clouds your assumptions here. The left wing never did that, those were conservatives. How is your understanding of American history so warped?
Sure and I agree , but he has a right to his opinions and others have a right to criticize his opinions.I don't care if he's bright purple. His views are abhorrent.
Hint.....The Dixiecrats were never leftists. Not even close.Hint.... Dixiecrats.
To elaborate, I found his support forAre you suggesting that he is not a Holocaust denier because he says he supports Israel?
That's not how that works
You are actually right. And guess who were the target of the Southern Strategy? It isn't. It's your ignorance of history that clouds your assumptions here.
Hint.... Dixiecrats.
True, but I gave him partial credit anyway. He seems to have forgotten that the Dixiecrats are now part of the Republican party.Hint.....The Dixiecrats were never leftists. Not even close.
What a bizarre religion.Depends on his theology. For some Christian Evangelicals, they need the Jews in Israel in order for Armageddon to occur, eventually leading to the return of Jesus and a Christian utopia. Or, something like that.
Doesn't get a micron of credit from me. If he had said Democrats that would have been technically correct, but missing the point. But he didn't say that, he said left wing. He has no conception of what left wing is and he is determined to maintain his ignorance. You can criticize the left wing for lots of things, but they were never on the side of the KKK.True, but I gave him partial credit anyway. True, but for a while the KKK was on their side. And there were even KKK Democrats in office at times.Doesn't get a micron of credit from me. No they were not. You are making the same mistake. You are equating "Democrat" with "left wing". They are not the same.True, but for a while the KKK was on their side. And there were even KKK Democrats in office at times.
When it comes to discrimination the two parties have flipped. The Democrats have been more liberal since before either Roosevelt. Unfortunately they also had the baggage of the Old South for quite a while. In the long run the Democrats are going to see the Southern Strategy as a movement that was in their favor. They shed their racists and the Republicans picked them up.
Often the Dems are "left" simply because thisNo they were not. You are making the same mistake. You are equating "Democrat" with "left wing". They are not the same.
Yes, the Democrats and Republicans flipped, at one time the Republican party was quite liberal and progressive. But left wing has always been left wing and right wing has always been right wing. If a party, regardless of its name, did not support left wing positions it was not a left wing party.
That is absurd. Left and Right are political distinctions, not a kind of feng shui.Often the Dems are "left" simply because this
is where the sit in Congress relative to Pubs on
the "right" (from the perspective of their seats).
Nonetheless, it is in the language. That is absurd.
Language is more complicated than that.Left and Right are political distinctions, not a kind of feng shui.
What a load of bull****.True, but I gave him partial credit anyway. He seems to have forgotten that the Dixiecrats are now part of the Republican party.
Says you. Look at the history. Of course you can remain in total ignorance of that fact.Doesn't get a micron of credit from me. If he had said Democrats that would have been technically correct, but missing the point. But he didn't say that, he said left wing. He has no conception of what left wing is and he is determined to maintain his ignorance. You can criticize the left wing for lots of things, but they were never on the side of the KKK.
Don't worry, it'll never catch on.What a bizarre religion.
Bizarreness appears to be theDon't worry, it'll never catch on.
Actually both are how Left and Right wing were born, where seating based on ideology during the French Revolution created this concept. That is absurd. Left and Right are political distinctions, not a kind of feng shui.
Explain this to me:Actually both are how Left and Right wing were born, where seating based on ideology during the French Revolution created this concept.
