Holocaust Denier, Antisemite, Election Denier, Anti-abortionist, Wins Republican Gubernatorial Primary in North Carolina.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
The left wing never did that, those were conservatives. How is your understanding of American history so warped?
It isn't. It's your ignorance of history that clouds your assumptions here.

Hint.... Dixiecrats.

Are you suggesting that he is not a Holocaust denier because he says he supports Israel?
That's not how that works
To elaborate, I found his support for
Israel & Jews to be highly unusual
for a Holocaust denier. So to paint
him with that narrow brush is to
mislead about the breadth of
his beliefs.
FYI, IMO he is a hideous person of
bizarre complexity.

True, but I gave him partial credit anyway. He seems to have forgotten that the Dixiecrats are now part of the Republican party.
Doesn't get a micron of credit from me. If he had said Democrats that would have been technically correct, but missing the point. But he didn't say that, he said left wing. He has no conception of what left wing is and he is determined to maintain his ignorance. You can criticize the left wing for lots of things, but they were never on the side of the KKK.

True, but for a while the KKK was on their side. And there were even KKK Democrats in office at times.

When it comes to discrimination the two parties have flipped. The Democrats have been more liberal since before either Roosevelt. Unfortunately they also had the baggage of the Old South for quite a while. In the long run the Democrats are going to see the Southern Strategy as a movement that was in their favor. They shed their racists and the Republicans picked them up.

No they were not. You are making the same mistake. You are equating "Democrat" with "left wing". They are not the same.

Yes, the Democrats and Republicans flipped, at one time the Republican party was quite liberal and progressive. But left wing has always been left wing and right wing has always been right wing. If a party, regardless of its name, did not support left wing positions it was not a left wing party.

Often the Dems are "left" simply because this
is where the sit in Congress relative to Pubs on
the "right" (from the perspective of their seats).

That is absurd.
Nonetheless, it is in the language.
Ever hear the term "both sides of the aisle"?
Anyway, Dems are left of Pubs (generally)
in both senses of the term.
Left and Right are political distinctions, not a kind of feng shui.
Language is more complicated than that.
Blame the Froggies.
They introduced that view.

Says you. Look at the history. Of course you can remain in total ignorance of that fact.

Actually both are how Left and Right wing were born, where seating based on ideology during the French Revolution created this concept.
Explain this to me:

How can this test determine the physical location of my chair? Or even if I am sitting or standing? And what happens when I lie down? Does lying down make me a libertarian?

I am so confused.
