Holocaust

Lately I have had this obsession with the Holocaust....I am reading everything I come across about it. I find myself asking 2 questions:

1) Why did it take so long for anyone to help the Jews?

2) How much of the information from the experiments is used on a daily basis by doctors, engineers, etc in today's society?

It didn't take so long for some people, to be fair. For others, well, they either didn't want to help, didn't really understand what was happening, were afraid to help, were "just following orders,"
any number of reasons.

Have you read Maus, by the way? It's a good book on the Holocaust.

The most noticeable thing about people's attitudes towards genocide is how often we are apathetic to it when it's going on. This hasn't just been true of the Holocaust in Europe during WWII, but has been true of most genocides. For some mysterious reasons, people have a hard time getting worked up about genocides.

Oh, for ****'s sake. Holocaust deniars. It's all the Jews, secretly controlling things (where have I heard this before?). They just pretended to be mass murdered. That must be it!

Let's have a look at whose writing this, shall we? I'm mildly suspicious of something called "White Power World Wide." Check out some of their other articles. Fascinatin' stuff, really.

Help Me,

Someone I knew lived through the Holocaust. It was real, and that page was made by crackpots. There can't be any fudging around there. That page is just tripe. I consider denying the Holocaust to border on evil, and in most cases, it crosses the line. I would strongly suggest you go get information elsewhere on the subject. The page is vile and revolting.

It is a great book on the Holocaust that also exalted the graphic novel and sequential art to an accepted art form.

The really scary and also tragic part of the Holocaust besides the genocide, torture, etc., is the fact that many in the German army were quote 'Christians' who didn't remember the part about killing being bad or were caught up in the whole way they got drafted. But anyway to make a long story short, these "Christians" would go to Church after battles to confess their sins and ask for forgiveness and then they would go out and kill some more.

It just goes to show that many profess to be Christian yet see the portion of the bible where it shows the chosen people killing others and use those examples as the go ahead to do the same yet they fail to see that each battle was actually sanctioned by God because he, God, really spoke to them. Unlike the wars and genocides like the Holocaust where religious leaders get involved and tell the leaders it's ok for whatever reason and then give them the backing of the Church as the definitive to blast away because the Church has the voice of God with them. Which reminds me of the Catholic Church that was in Germany during this nasty piece of human history. Those Catholic priests and cardinals went along with Hitler and even told him that the Germans wouldn't be excomunicated if they went out and killed people. All of this by the way is in the Holocaust museam records.

I was stunned when I found that out and I still am.

There are even pictures of priests and Cardinals doing the sieg heil bit. Hail the Fuher.

I forgot to add a comment about the web site posted. I didn't read the article except for the first few lines because the page is done in blood red colors.

That should be an immediate indication that the web admin or editor or publisher of that page is a little off with their viewpoints and facts.

I'm sure it's buptkis because of the "truth_at_last" directory and the fact that it's not all over the world news.

We cannot fathom what the jews went through. Just imagine the whole world in a sense being against you......Jews from most countries were hunted as if it were a witch trial....I bet many that werent Jews were accused as well......and no one but a few people seemed to realize how wrong this was........some of them German citizens........I applaud these few.......I admire these few......I worship these few.

Interesting that the Holocaust deniers and Christian Identity supporters can, with no direct evidence, fervently believe in Christian mythology* yet seek to deny direct evidence of one of the most well documented, extensively witnessed events in the historical record.

Does anyone else smell an agenda?

* -- I use the term in a technical sense, not to denounce Christian faith.
