I thought it would be nice to share our favorite things about home, and by "home" II mean the place you currently live in.
I live in Bordeaux, south west of France, and the city is beautiful, but for me the best about living here is the work/life balance. It's big enough so I have everything I need close by, but it's not crazy overcrowded so I don't feel chocked. There isn't much criminality, it's a one hour drive to the beach and the wine and food are amazing. Overall, a really cool place to live.
What are your favorite things where you live?

I live in a small town but it has all the basics, I could survive only shopping in the local businesses if I wanted. For the most part I have good neighbours, we help each other out and have a few drinks together occasionally. I have two National parks within about 20 minutes drive. I can usually find a deserted beach somewhere to walk along.

Living in Rome, where nobody couldn't care less about anything....bleah
I love, love, love gossiping. I adore gossiping.
The gossiping of the Sunday mornings of those tiny towns in Sicily. I miss all that.

In 1940s the situation was like that...it didn't change much.

I live in a city in Massachusetts known as the 'city of seven hills'. We are surrounded by them which I think is protective against the severity of storms as the hills seem to break them up. We are a college town and the population is quite diversified. Crime rate is low but increasing.

Interesting, reminds me of.
Rome is built on 7 hills, it's said Rome began on the 7 hills, there is proof the area was inhabited over 3000 years ago. The hills were each inhabited by a different tribe... And it grew

Interesting, our 'hills' were once occupied by Native American tribes.
