Homosexuality and religious.

I not only accept them, I agree with them.
I am not whining about anything. You are doing all the whining on this thread.
Well, you have repeatedly admitted that you agree with the nasty, homophobic prejudice in Bahai writings.
Nothing else left to say.

Gotta love that "free publicity", eh? :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

I'd say that anybody capable of experiencing the satisfaction of sexual relations without harm to self or others is better off than one who feels no such urges,
I disagree with that but that is just my personal opinion. I do not think that having sexual urges is 'necessarily' desirable. Personally, I believe it is more desirable to be free of such urges (speaking as someone who has experienced both situations).

It all goes back to the meaning of 'better off.' What is better for one person is not necessarily better for another person, so I don't think it can be said that 'everyone' is better off having sexual urges or that 'everyone' is better off having no sexual urges. It all depends upon the person and their personal situation.
and who in turn is better off than those who satisfy sexual desires carelessly or with the wrong people.
I agree with that part.
It's analogous to being happily married (assuming that that is possible for one) outranking being single, which is better than being unhappily married. You might not agree with that.
I agree that being happily married is better than being single, and better than being unhappily married, but I do not believe that sex is a necessary component of a happy marriage. When men get older and can no longer perform sexually, or when women get older and no longer have sexual desire, can they no longer have a happy marriage?

Isn't this also true for gay people? Homosexuality is better for them, but not better for others? Should a gay person be prohibited from what is better for them?

So what was the point of saying ...
""I" did not say that homosexuality is a shameful sexual aberration - Shoghi Effendi said that."
The natural implication of that response is that you don't agree with him.
There is no natural implication. I did not say that even if I agree with it.
If you agree with him then my initial point stands...
"You can't say homosexuality is a shameful sexual aberration but also claim you are not judging homosexuals."
I did not say that, Shoghi Effendi said that. He was judging.

When men get older and can no longer perform sexually, or when women get older and no longer have sexual desire,
Way to generalise much?
Sometimes when I visit my parents I can hear them getting jiggy with it at night. Most disturbing but also reassuring. I hope to still be enthusiastically playing hide the salami when I'm their age.

If you believe in scripture, you cannot believe it is better for them.
You cannot have it both ways.;)

Ands you have to accept whatever Bahaullah says, without any doubt, even if it is nonsensical. :tearsofjoy:
No, I do not have to do anything I do not choose to do because I have free will to choose.
What is nonsensical to you is not nonsensical to everyone on planet Earth.

Actually I do. People should know what they are buying before they buy it.
People can choose to buy the product or not. That's the beauty of free will.
And now people know that the Bahai "product" comes with built in homophobia.
You are welcome to the people who choose to buy that.

What is nonsensical to you is not nonsensical to everyone on planet Earth.
Some things are universally nonsensical. Bahaullah even gave two specific examples to show how nonsensical you are expected to just blindly accept...

"Were He to pronounce the right to be the left or the south to be the north, He speaketh the truth and there is no doubt of it."

You quoted that out of context.

I said:
"I do not believe that sex is a necessary component of a happy marriage. When men get older and can no longer perform sexually, or when women get older and no longer have sexual desire, can they no longer have a happy marriage?"

But if men can perform sexually and if women still have sexual desire they can still have sex.
However, that does not mean that sex is a necessary component to a happy marriage. It might be necessary for some and unnecessary for others.

No. As a Bahai, you have to.
Bahaullah said it is "incumbent" on you.

Incumbent: necessary for (someone) as a duty or responsibility
WHAT is incumbent? I have to do what? Out of context that is meaningless.
Yes, once I am a Baha'i, certain things are incumbent, but it is not incumbent for me to choose to be a Baha'i.
