Homosexuals and the demise of the family?

i think that when one refers to homesexuals and the demise of family, i think that what they are really saying is that a homosexual couple cannot create a baby together.
Heterosexuals can create babies together...assuming all parts are functioning....but they're still getting divorced or choosing not to live together as a family. The ability to procreate does not necessarily assume that a "family" is the result.

Also, just because you create a baby, it doesn't make you "family". My stepfather had no hand in my creation, but he's loved and raised me since I was 5. That's family.

Here are arguements...and my responses

1 - It's not a healthy, balanced parental situation
A - What's not healthy about it? Is having two caring homosexual parents better than having two uncaring heteros simply because they're the same gender?

2 - It will create a bad environment for the child
A - the only bad environment it might create is that of the child getting picked on by other kids. And in that case, it's the other kids' faults - not the parents

3 - this will lead to the demise of the family because next, people will be allowed to have goats as parents!
A - We already do, they're called stubborn old conservatives.
1. Agree 2. Agree, but who ever is to blame is imaterial IMO; the kids still suffer. That is sad, and needs to be addressed. Education, Education Education Oh damn I sound like Blair now!:help:
3. Actually, I have a different view on this - I don't know any statistics, but many homosexuals have previously been in heterosexual marriages or partnerships (Whatever you want to call it) - and the children end up with an extended familly (ie live with Mummy who might well have a new partner, whilst also having a couple of 'fathers' somewhere else; (or other way around - heck this gets complicated) at the least this means more attention and Love for the child +..more bithday presents! (especially if everyone is trying to 'outdo' the others):D besides, why not Conservatives.....?
