When I do reserve a hotel we always bring along our own pillows, sheets, blankets. Have never trusted one enough to lay my head on a foreign pillow and get in foreign sheets I have no idea where they've been. And always seal them and wash them in a laundry mat before returning home. You can never be too careful about where you can pick up bed bugs.

I dislike hotels.
It's a big reason I dwell in Mr Van when on the road.
Airbnb is better....if it still exists.
