Houswarming gifts?

I'm drawing a blank: what's a good housewarming gift for someone when you don't know of anything specific that they want?

In particular, the gift I'm struggling with is for a couple in their late 20s with no kids, moving from an apartment into their first house.

I have no idea what to get them. I'll probably end up wandering around the mall tomorrow looking for inspiration, but some ideas would be helpful. :)

A flitch of bacon never fails to please.

Oh, & I mean real bacon, not that Canadian abomination.

Wine is a great gift. And for the guy, a really nice scotch or whiskey (or you can get that for me) - or a fine cigar.

A toaster. Mainly because I think it is funny as that seems like a very common gift. I for one have two toasters now just because of that.

Realistically, a blender is always nice. Maybe some nice coasters. Or better yet, a nice plant. I once got a pineapple plant, which I thought was pretty cool. I know here, they can be found at Lowes.

I ended up being boring (but useful) and getting them a gift card. Since this is their first house, I'm sure they're going to need a garden hose or a stepladder or something like that in the near future.
