How can I expatriate?

Hello All. So, it has been my intention for sometime to leave American and renounce my citizen when it was economically feasible to do.

Consider, I got about a year left in school. I'm wanting to move to Ireland if possible. I'm considering applying for a master's program at a school and trying to find any funding I can. However, this might stall things I have will to address some student debt before taking on more. I will also be getting a degree in accounting, and I'm wondering if one can get a work visa, and then slowly apply for a switch in citizenship.

Can anyone give me pointers on steps I can take, things I will need to address, to achieve my goal of leaving in America with 5 years or so (or even sooner if possible!)?

Thanks very much, peoples of the world.

If the next election comes down to Hillary Clinton vs. Jeb Bush, I'm right there with you. Aotearoa here I come!

Not easy in Canada, unless you marry a Canadian or have enough money to employ some Canadians. ... or prove that you're the only capable candidate for a job ... no Canadians can do it.

The obvious question which occurs to me is how relevant and acceptable your accounting degree will be outside the USA?

Hmm, I guess that seems relatively easy. I guess getting the citizenship somewhere is the real hurdle there. How do I do that?

Depends on the country. It might involve years lived in the country, but it most certainly involves passing a citizenship test.

Leaving the USA is easy. Taking the advantages with you is the problem you have.

Pay off your debt and go. You'll have to choose among the countries that want you.

But from Sudan to Thailand the world is your oyster.

send a pm to sandandfoam for guidance. I reckon that he is your best bet for info on both Ireland and Northern Ireland.
