How can some Americans support a traitor for a President?

Its hard to call anyone who holds the views Trump has as anything but a traitor.
Or just ignorant.
This combined with Trumps attempt to overturn legitimate elections show that he is nothing short of a traitor.
Exactly
Why would anyone want this kind of a person to lead a nation, any nation, is beyond me. Thoughts on the matter?
My thought is the folk that voted for Trump, should have their voting rights removed just like every other felon - criminal.

How could our very brethren be so ignorant? And how could any god fearing souls defend the man?

Only in their low-information heads. They don't realize their favorite media has been manipulating their votes via fear and paranoia for decades.
I think the only problem here is pretending it only happens on one side. Most people are mindless sheep irrelevant of their party color.

that is evidence of rhetoric

My comment at least had merit/content

I don't get it either. I mean, the first time around it was apparent to me they were resolutely unqualified to hold public office as their personality alone renders them incapable of actually being a public servant. An assessment that was thoroughly proven during their time in an office they never should have been allowed to run for much less elected to. The Electoral College proved its worthlessness as a check mechanism by allowing a sociopathic narcissist and well-documented pathologically lying con artist to take office.

Did you hate Obama too?
At least I offered a sound solution versus attacking any individual voter.
I hate all of them. Every single lifelong politician needs to go.

What?
The left doesn't have anything close to the propaganda conservative media puts out on a 24/7 basis. False equivalence.
And this is how we know the propaganda is working.
The most mainstream 'news' on TV is conservatives biggest influencer and manipulator.
Who?

Trump's supporters don't care that he is a traitor because they are all traitors. All any of them care about is what's in it for them. How will they get what they want. How can they make the United States of America serve their personal ideals and desires. Because they are all that matters to them. You and I don't matter. What we want doesn't matter. What we need is irrelevant.

Traitors are people that betray their own collective. That sell out their fellow citizens for their own selfish gain. And that's Trump, and it's his supporters, too. Lookin' out for themselves. And they don't care about you or I or anyone else, at all. We're irrelevant to them.

I agree with you about trump and fans. I fail to see how this doesn't apply to the left as well though.

The idea that only the opposing side is bad is bred from propaganda and nothing more.
I said false equivalence. To claim they're the same is ignorant.
Surely people watch other news.
Fox is the most watched 'news' in America. Which means they're the most mainstream.
The problem with their viewers is they believe the entertainment hosts are actual news.
Fox does very little unbiased news reporting. And if they do, it's in the middle of the day for 20 seconds.

Or it's a commercial.

How are they not the same?

This is true of most viewers of any news.

This is true of most news.

The answer to your question is that they don't. They support a person that they don't think is a traitor but you do. The nation is divided on its opinion on Trump. Your opinion of him is obvious. But using bombast, hyperbole and insults won't win over the half of the country that disagrees with you. If you can't convince them there are at least two possible reasons. One is that you aren't right. Another is your methods of presentation. HTH
