Maria-al-Qibtiyya: Was a Coptic slave sent to Prophet Muhamamd by the patriarch of Alexandria. Prophet Muhammad freed and married her around 629-630 C.E. She later converted to Islam. [2]
This didn't actually happen though. The Partiarch/Muqawkis Cyrus wasn't even in Egypt at the time due to the Persian invasion. It was probably a confusion (by later prophetic biographers) of ibn al-As' correspondence with Cyrus of Alexandria, which we have historical sources to confirm did actually happen. This was from the time of Abu Bakr though.
Cyrus was responsible for negotiating with the Arabs to prevent Egypt being invaded, and possibly wanted al-As to marry Heraclius' daughter to win his loyalty. The invasion happened after Cyrus had his authority revoked and the Romans refused to pay the agreed tribute.
That the title Muqawkis was later used to relate to other patriarchs (often confusing Melkite and monophysite patriarchs too) doesn't change that it originally meant Cyrus, which is the traditional Islamic interpretation.
It is impossible that Cyrus sent any slaves to Muhammed though as he didn't return to Egypt until 631.
