How did Christianity kill longstanding paganism in Europe?

Essentially, it's worthless debating with you because whenever I raise points you just ignore them and jump to another attack.

It's sad how people become brainwashed with hatred by what their elders tell them... Yet claim to be "bible" believing.

That is a common tactic.. Won't acknowledge your answer and changes the subject.

I said nothing about the destruction of Catholicism. And I can assure true Christians never killed anyone to advance their beliefs or forced anyone to convert. Can you give examples?

Slaughter of the Cathars, Knights Templar, burning of St Joan.....

I am not debating...I am simply telling the truth.

I have studied the Bible with many Catholic people over many years and encountered many more in my door to door ministry.
My "attacks" have come from the horse's mouth, from talking to real people in your church, and any excursion into the early history of the RCC will confirm everything I said.....It is all documented. Most Catholic people have little to no knowledge of the history of their church, and many of them actually believe that the Catechism is the Bible.

They will all be celebrating Easter shortly.....where will I find Easter in the Bible? What do rabbits and chickens and eggs have to do with Jesus Christ? Where will I find Jesus teaching us to observe Lent? Did the apostles use rosary beads?...Did they glorify Mary as the "mother of God"? or teach that God is a three headed deity?....or tell people about the fires of hell and having to pay to get out of purgatory?....or a hundred other things that the church introduced that have no place in Christianity....? Seriously...

It's sad how people become brainwashed with hatred by what their elders tell them... Yet claim to be "bible" believing.

Well, Jesus must have been brainwashed too because he did not hold back from exposing the false teachings among the teachers of his own religion or the misinterpreted scripture, whenever the opportunity arose. Did he do that because he hated the Jews?...or because he wanted them to see the truth?
He must have then brainwashed his apostles because they taught the same as he did.

Please tell me what have I said that isn't true?

Luke 9:50

...End your hatred for your brothers.

Those who were "for" Jesus in the first century were not Catholic. They were all Jewish. And if the RCC teaches things that are false, then it means that they are not true Christians IMO. They are therefore NOT my brothers, but I wish they were......why do you think we call on people of all faiths so regularly? Christendom is not a true representation of Christianity IMV. I was raised in that system.

Once sincere Catholic people see how much of what they have been taught is church tradition, not Bible based teachings, and nothing close to what Jesus taught, they are often angry that they have been fed a bunch of lies all their life. This has been my experience.

BTW, I love my brothers....I just know what my brother looks like and what he believes. He isn't dressed in a robe with a big cross around his neck. He doesn't pay homage to a Pope who lives in a gold inlaid palace whilst the bulk of his flock live in abject poverty. He doesn't bow to idols, and he doesn't celebrate pagan festivals dressed up as 'Christian' celebrations....nor does he support bloodshed when his government goes to war.
He doesn't put Jesus and Mary before the Father, and he doesn't own a set of rosary beads. o_O etc...etc...

If you are comfortable with all of that, then that is your choice.....it will never be mine.

Do you actually go door to door?

There's nothing wrong with the rosary if it helps focus the mind in prayer. And there is nothing wrong with Easter eggs and Bunnies. Eggs represent new life.

How do you know that most Catholics don't know the history of the church?

A lot of Catholic teaching is at a high level intellectually.. Instead of literal interpretation they get symbolism and allegory. A Catholic shared their view of Adam and Eve with me. That the story was about the transition between hunter-gatherers to farmers.

When Adam and Eve "fell" and were expelled from the garden it was because instead of trusting in God's providence they took survival into their own hands and planted crops.

Whether ALL Catholics buy into that interpretation or not we are talking about some serious thought being given to the messages in the myth.

You just don't get it Deeje... The Church was filled with God's Holy Spirit since Pentecost, the bible book was just an add on, and your dependence on Sola Scriptura is blasphemy. Your faith in "the book" is in fact a pagan tradition ittself, having been adopted from the Greeks, Muslims, and Jews.

Jesus Christ is the founder and God of the living Catholic Church, and our Holidays we've taken on were all authorized by the Father Himself. All of our traditions were created and instituted by God, even the ones that were formally pagan.

We are the living Church. Yours is dead, black and white ink printed on dead trees.

By what authority does the bible supersede apostolic tradition of the Church instituted by Jesus, and propagated by the Holy Spirit of God? Says WHO..?

Essentally, Sola Scriptura seems to be pagan in origin, since Pagans have been following their scriptures for much longer.

Short of that I think Narmer unites upper and lower Egypt about 3000 BC, starts all of this stuff about the glory of war. Egyptians for thousands of years live to fight and give goods to the priest class and buy themselves comfort + honor in life and then the afterlife. They're killing, pillaging and kidnapping so everyone around them suffers, and then they spread their ideas around like a political disease by showing off their wealth. They build huge monuments, have big parties and lots of art but stomp on the necks of anyone else who might want to do the same. Ancient Egypt does nothing but steal and amass wealth only to dump it into graves! Its entire history is like a horror film behind a flowered curtain. All that oppression and misfortune lasted for thousands of years.

What in the Netjeru's name are you talking about? There's only a small portion of Ancient Egypt's history in which they're imperialistic and that's during the New Kingdom. Before that, they barely have a standing army and once they do, their main concern is securing their border with a few military expeditions here and there. The rest of the time, they're completely self-reliant and rich in natural resources, they have no desire for war other than when they were repeatedly invaded, and any depictions of war in art are simply metaphorical. One could say the Ancient Egyptians were practically agoraphobic. Dying in a foreign land was nightmarish to them. Your statement is more in line with Ancient Rome, who purposely conquered foreign territory for the sole purpose of funneling all possible resources to their capital.

Now to be fair, the martyrdom of Joan of Arc was a political move by the English. The Inquisition actually tried to stop it, but the English had swords to their throats, metaphorically and occasionally literally. It can be argued that the slaughtering of the Knights Templar was also a political/economic move, because the Templars also functioned as bankers.

As a counter-example, there was a Byzantine emperor around 1060 AD who tried to have all Byzantine soldiers who died fighting Muslims declared as martyrs. The Patriarch of Constantinople shut that proposal down hard. Did Byzantium Practice Holy War

What was the driving force or motivation for Europe to mostly come to Jesus following the fall of Rome?

How did Christ eventually hook European culture which was widespread pagan/polytheistic for thousands of years?

It's ironic that the Catholic Church would be founded in Rome since Rome herself crucified Christ.
But the gospels make it clear that Jesus' mission was always intended to end in death.

So Jesus used the Romans. He set them up eg his refusal to take the exonerating chances which Pilate offered him.

That is not consistent with the information I obtained watching this: History of Ancient Egypt This is an actual Egyptologist and archeologist. The course is a survey of the pharoahs and describes their religion and political practices. Pharoahs were expected to dominate and to oppress. In fact Egypt's common practice is to suppress nations around them. I don't know who you are or why you're acting like I got this from a cereal box, and lets see some sources since you're so informed.

What he said about the Egyptian horror of dying in a foreign land is true.

Notice, I said TRUE Christians. These groups you mention are only using the name "Christian" to carry out their evil intentions.

We have true Christians today who worship Trump and support more theft of land in Palestine. We have true Christians who are teaching that every verse in the Bible is about the end time.

We have true Christians hijacking OT verses as evidence for Jesus.

That is interesting and could explain the significance of a story in the Bible in which Joseph requests that his bones be buried outside of Egypt. I've always wondered about that -- why? Now I have a possible answer. Thank you! Honestly its been bashing in my brains for half of my life, and here come you two just casually telling me why.

Genesis 50:25 "And Joseph made the Israelites swear an oath and said, 'God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place.' "

Its so anti Egyptian.

The Egyptian believed that dying outside of Egypt denied them a life in the hereafter.

I hear what you are saying, and so its very significant that in Joseph's story he wants his bones dug up and removed from Egypt.
