How Do Disagreements Affect You?

I ask cuz I notice some people get really abusive.
(Even I manage to offend people at times.)

Disagreements where I find out I was wrong effect me greatly
Disagreements with my Boss or Fellow employees that effect my job maybe a week or two
Disagreements with family or friend maybe a day or two
Disagreements with a block head 1hr to 2 hrs after talking.
General Disagreements where no one shouts not at all forgotten as I walk away or hang up.
Debates are not disagreements for me but challenges and perk me up.

Depending on the disagreement, sometimes I like to stoke their own frustrations and anger. But that's for fake tough guy crap, people who insist I have to be a certain way so it fits into their religious narrative, or just say really dumb things. Most of the time though I see it as just something that happens.

I wonder if those internet tough guys know how ridiculous they look to others?
Nah....I don't wonder. They're clueless. Mocking them helps them learn.

"Net Cajones" is a term I have tossed around a few times....
Even if these guys are as brave & violent as the appearances
they create, it's still so feckless & derisionworthy to post that way.
Civilized people don't assault each other over disagreements.

Another vote for "depends on the disagreement."

For example, I'll be far more annoyed by an anti-vaxxer than I will be by somebody who believes gherkins are tasty. Both may be equally wrong but the anti-vaxxer helps to cause genuine harm whereas the gherkin eater is really only hurting themselves.

Where do you get off claiming you offend people? I absolutely disagree that you offend people at times. This is clearly a straw man argument. Typical. I am so mad right now I cannot type coherently in a manner that would effectively communicate my dissent to this abusive description that you are aiming at yourself. Clearly, you cannot help it considering how you have been educated. You are completely ignorant of your own rights and are bigoted against yourself. You are or a horrible, self-effacing, rational, self-bigot.

Disagreements don't effect me at all..... I simply hunt them down and maul them until they are more agreeable

That's the violence inherent in the system.

By the way, you ever heard of a thing called a nose hair trimmer?

When I have disagreements with people, I then ask my wife, who is a paralegal, what can we do legally to make them "agree" with us.

I have learned to disconnect personally in internet arguments as I have gotten older. A argument on here has no direct impact on me personally, though I see some that act as if it does. They may be more emotionally invested. But even I still succumb to the heat that some discussions generate. At those times, I just remind myself that this is an anonymous forum and nothing that is said is binding in anyway nor means anything about me personally.

Sometimes it is tactically useful to turn up the volume a little, but you have to be careful. Sometimes it even a little can be very distracting to the point of the discussion. Sometimes it can be equally useful to turn the volume down.

Bad reactions are about the person having them, not you.

I live in a world of disagreements. I worked for a living. I'm married. I post here and elsewhere.

The question is overly broad because my answer to the overly broad question is "all of the above and many MANY more responses"

So you are talking about the reactions that others have to me? Not how I react to them? That is why I chose a cute little bunny as an avatar. To establish a warm and friendly persona so that others will not get mad. I think the more aggressive the image, the more likely it is to set someone off.

I would not use my own picture. I am not trying to start a war.
