Here is how Joseph Campbell defines it. I tend to agree with him.
How do you define the LHP?
Ridiculous.
It doesn't have any virtues.Why?
As I understand lhp is extreme individualism - "I" is put on a pedestal and worshiped. I-it relation to others (instead of I-Thou). Consistent following this path results in subjugating others to have power over them, to have/own others to serve you.I would as well. For me, the right hand path is the path of the community, and the left the path if the individual. Both are important, and both can lead to either balance or imbalance, "good," or "evil."
It doesn't have any virtues.
Disgusting. IMOindividuality, personal responsibility, strong will
Do virtues belong to a path or do they belong to the individual? It doesn't have any virtues.
Path.Do virtues belong to a path or do they belong to the individual?
This is where we differ. I believe you don't automatically become virtuous by walking a certain path. (Widespread sex scandals, as well as financial scandals amongst religious institutions come to mind.)Path.
It doesn't have any virtues.
Personal responsibility?!Disgusting. IMO
