How long would it take?

Say the non-Muslim world ceased all interaction with the Muslim world tomorrow. We closed down all our military bases & withdrew our soldiers, we stopped invading Muslim-majority nations, we stopped toppling, trading with, financing or generally propping up one Middle Eastern regime or another (like the Saudis) and that this would last forever. Say we imposed a complete travel embargo to the Middle East; no non-Muslims could go there. Let's also say that once the West had withdrawn, the Russians and the other major economic powers did the same and just left the Muslims to it.

Oh, and let's just say Israel winked out of existence to be replaced with Palestine.

How long would it take Muslims to stop blaming the West/non-Muslims for all their problems?

If every last non-Muslim was to completely disappear off the planet, there will still be Muslims blaming non-Muslims for all their woes.

Why make this conversation about Muslims? Why, @A Greased Scotsman?

Humans in general - and it doesn't matter what "tribe" of humans one is categorized in - will always be blaming things external to themselves for perceived problems. It's a universal phenomena common to all people in all cultures and all eras of history.

I don't find a point, if as you said it's about claiming that the creation of the ISIS was by the west,
then Russia is claiming the same thing as Muslims do.

It's not just about that.

I didn't.
I merely used the group in the OP in an attempt to remain on topic.
Fact is, every group has a sub-group of self proclaimed martyrs.
I would even venture to say that even the self proclaimed martyrs group has a sub-group of self proclaimed martyrs.

I think it might take a couple of generations, a similar thing happened with the Americans and the British, and I can't remember the last time I heard an American blaming the British for anything!!

Speak for yourself, bub!
I'm still armed to the teeth, just in case those inbred limey Redcoats try to pull something again.
And they try....oh, they try.
We foiled their plot to flood our market with sabotaged electrical components made by Lucas, the Prince Of Darkness.

It's not just about IS. It's about any/all problems in the Muslim world that the West gets the blame for.

Because it seems impossible to find any other group with a grievance complex the same size as that of Muslims. If that complex were a physical object it would shatter the entire planet, it's so massive.

And because recent Islamist terrorist actions have been placed against the backdrop of Western military action 'Ah, but the West bombed Syria', 'Ah, but remember Iraq' in the Middle East in order to try and justify it. But this grievance complex never addresses purely Muslim issues like violent sectarianism or a seemingly terminal hatred for religious minorities.

I wonder what the attacks on Christians in Nigeria, Niger and other places in Africa and Hindus and Buddhists in Southeast Asia has to do with the West? Hmm. Let us ponder this.

What you have to understand is that Westerners aren't doing very well right now, their whole we are the centre of the universe stuff is collapsing around them, they are having to buy their toilet paper from China, because they can't afford American toilet paper any more, on top of that, their American toilet paper factory where they had worked for 20 years is out of business, and they can't find a new job, because they've never had to work hard in their life, the proverbial xxx is hitting the fan, so who do they blame, Muslims on the other side of the world, yeah, they're the problem.

Such as....

Including (but not restricted to):

  • the existence of Israel
  • the Iraqi sectarian war
  • the various regional conflicts between various Middle Eastern nations
  • Saudi Arabia
  • the fall of the Ottoman Empire (and, apparently, the Muslim Caliphate with it)
  • the rise of Al Qaeda & Islamic State
  • the actions taken by these groups and their affiliates.
These are just off the top of my head. If I think of any more I'll list them in other posts and try to remember to use the quote from you above.
