No. I haven't seen it. I haven't seen any new movies at the theater in over a year.

Is it any good or is that what you are trying to find out based on responses here?

I'm looking forward to seeing it. I just watched the trailer, and it looks pretty good (although I watched it on my phone in sun light so it was kind of hard to tell. :p).

Not me.
If you ask me, Batman in the movies don't look scary at all. Its mostly because his eyes are visible. If only his eyes were totally concealed with a white covering like how spiderman or deadpool is portrayed in the movies then it would have been great.

Only one Batman, as far as I'm concerned.

I wanted to see it but then I realized it's really long. I don't want to sit in a theater for more than 2 hours and that's already a lot. Will wait until I can watch it at home and make a couple of pauses.

It's good.
But completely different from all other takes on the character.
Better? Worse? Irrelevant.
You damn Scott! Pick a side and argue it!
I thought it was pretty interesting, especially how it was mostly just Batman in it. We didn't see the Penguin much, Alfred didn't do much, the Joker just laughed at the end, not even Bruce Wayne had much screen time. It was a lot of Batman.
And then him messing up that landing totally had me thinking Venture Brothers, lmao.

I also loved how it made Something in the Way a pretty cool and interesting song. And because of Gotham it is OK to eat Fish because she really doesn't have any feelings, lol.

Just watched it. I liked the edgier Batman but I think I enjoyed the Nolan Batman trilogy more.
I don't think I can pick a favorite between that and Tim Burton's Batman movies. But, truly, that may be just because Heath Ledger was a phenomenal Joker, but Batman and Bane both had some goofy voices that make it hard to be my favorite.

I really liked it.
I thought it was a really good starting point for a new version and it was pretty comic accurate (mostly Golden age and 2000s tbh.)
It was a young inexperienced and angry Batman learning how to Batman and we finally got a detective story. Yay!
One of my new favourite interpretations in the making, I think.

Uhh that annoyed me beyond belief, tbh. Because I genuinely like Tom Hardy as an actor. I think he’s very versatile.
I get what they were going for. Bane does often have a sort of “novel” voice. But I think if they deepened it more, it could have worked well.
Or I dunno, just tweaked it a bit more. Something lol

Bale’s Batvoice just sounded like the poor guy needed to cough loudly after every take in the trilogy. I know he wanted to sound intimidating, but that was not a great choice.

Still love the movies though

I didn't really get a Golden Age vibe from it. It's fairly dark, and the Joker is definitely not Golden Age. But pretty cool if you've seen the deleted scene. He has a green Phil Anselmo like mohawk and a weird nasally voice to go with the chemically burned face.

I did. Maybe that’s just me. But I think it captured a sort of aloof and affable vibe in many of the scenes. Maybe I’m due for a reread.
It is very “modern” though, no doubt.

Oh I need to check out that deleted scene.

What did you think of the Riddler in the film?

I found Dano’s performance somewhat hampered by his mask earlier in the film. That’s not at all a critique of him by the way, he scared the living bejesus out of my poor young nephew all the same. And I thought his performance was awesome and pretty affecting. Kind of felt for the guy (well, kind of lol.)

A little bit of retread I thought with Riddler thinking they were the same, similar to what Dark Knight did with Joker comparing and contrasting the two of them. But I guess that’s sort of just par for the course for the Rogues Gallery. :shrug:Iirc they kind of did the same for the Arkham game series in a way

I did really like the Penguin and his scenes. I dunno there’s just something I found amusing in the contrast between Batman going there compared to Bruce’s visit lol

BTW, it's "Scot", not "Scott".
