I haven't had fries in years, but in India, just to feel a bit more at home, I'd order them from the hotel restaurant. I love Indian food, but not for 3 weeks straight. There was a comfort in that.

I just find it interesting how folks assume that everyone else would easily know what they're talking about. Hence the comment.

Never asked before now, but (as used in the) Houses of Parliament seems to have been the origin (from the inventor) - and definitely not ink-based.
