Why can't you, Elizabeth ji?
No need to worry because five important K's of Sikhi are Kara, Kirpan, Kesh, Kacchera and Kanga(Comb). Dastar is not included.Afternoon Treks-ji!
I can't wear the dastar for the reason that bar one person, not a single person in my family (who I live with) actually knows about my intention to take Amrit. The one person who DOES know, my mother, is a combination of confused, upset and angry. Being as conservative as they are, I'm unsure as to whether I CAN tell other family about Sikhi, much less HOW I can tell them.
So I'm forced to keep my faith and practices a secret from anyone, and whilst kara, kirpan, kesh (to an extent) and kacchera I can keep secret, I can't keep a dastar hidden away.
But, who is saying it flawedwelcome to the unflawed Path of Sikhi.
And other also speak of the same as you do, Thus.. what's the difference between yours and others ?The other Paths are.
