How much have you changed

Personally, I haven't changed, but I've had information added to my mind that may one day prove useful in either standing up for injustice or developing greater tolerance.

How much different are you as a person now, compared to who you were when you become an RF member?

Or are you basically the same as then?

I haven't changed much. I'm still a kid at heart even at the age of 33. The only thing that changed in me is that I have learned not to react to people judging me in real life. All thanks to the RF members who helped me in my spiritual growth.

I joined 5 years ago. I was 54 then. Addition will tell how old I am now.

Changes?

I'm learning Chinese. I have become a dog person. I am thinking of retiring from academia (not anything I would have contemplated then). I have fallen in love and had my heart broken. And my energy level has gone down a bit.

I arrived on RF in 2011.

Dementia has happened to me since: memory and other cognitive problems, like attention deficit, resulting in having to stop teaching and go on disability.

The good thing in this so far is that my personality locked into being mostly happy and cheerful, so although I still have issues, generally I'm a pleasant person to be around, I think...:D

I'm still interested in hearing about people's actual experiences (not what they think it was or means), but not so much interested in trying to convince people they're wrong about what they believe...

I used to work with people who had dementia, so i understand a bit about how it can affect your daily life.

I wish you all the best.

I certainly changed religions a lot. Maybe even political stance, depending on when I joined. I have developed more self-esteem and a clarity for the future.

When I first joined RF, I had recently come from a bad experience trying to blend in with a ( Jewish ) Conservative synagogue. At the time I was very rigid in my beliefs and wasn't sure if long term Judaism was for me.

Since then, I've become a lot more tolerant and moderate and open minded. Yes, a lot of that is due to the conversations on RF.

People in RF has helped me realize who i am :) and i now understand the constant rage i have shown multiple times here in discussion and debates. It was my own insecurity and my attemt on hiding who i am deep within me (a side that has been difficult because of religious belief)

Same basically since 2011 when I joined.
I went back to look at my previous posts and would respond now almost exactly as I did them.
Maybe I know a bit more about the POV of others but I suspect personality is set from an early age.
A bit more accepting of others doing their own things but I'm still going about doing mine.

In Philippines they call " many faces" a
balingbing, a starfruit.

What happens when you've tried on
every one of them and find them equally void?
My spiritual search has ended, i am where i want to be religiously/spiritually now.

A lot of the reason i was constantly changing was due to hiding from a truth i did not knew how to live out as a spiritual person. But i have come to term with who i am now.

RF has given me lots of opportunities to have discussions and debates with the religious. As a secular humanist, this has given me lots of clarity and insight into how religious beliefs impact other areas of people's lives. I appreciate all the people who have had debates and discussions with me :)
