How much of this do you believe?

Spontaneous universe

Spontaneous earth

Spontaneous life

Assent of life

Spontaneous intelligence

Spontaneous soul

(Spontaneous- not apparently contrived or manipulated : natural)
The universe, the earth, life, and intelligence all exist and as far as I know, all of them occur naturally, without any supernatural contrivance or manipulation.

I don't have any reason to believe in the soul as Christians generally understand that term.

Everything in that singularity always existed?
Terms like always are not relevant in reference to a singularity.

It's also an awfully big universe, an awfully large space, and an awful lot of material in which all of this might occur.
When exploring the possible occurances that could happen in order for one strand of human dna to form from it's base elements it is greater than all of the subatomic particle in the unviverse. That is just for one form of lifes dna.

I don't "believe in" anything unsubstantiated. I am comfortable with the phrase "I don't know". But, based on what I know, a universe that adheres to natural and physical laws is far more plausible than a universe cobbled together by some anthropomorphic cosmic tinkerer who existed before the birth of the universe(s). In fact, that scenario is so desperately, magnificently implausible I would say I know beyond a shadow of a doubt it didn't occur.

Ah, so basically your using the cliche'd arguement that this universe is so complex, god must of created it. (to the poster)

Just because we don't have the answers to life's most complex questions doesn't mean we should credit our exsistance to some god. That's just being intellectually lazy.

Actually, I was just asking a question as to what people might believe.

I think you are confusing "natural" and "spontaneous".

The origin of life was natural, but it was still obeying the non spontaneous nature of chemistry.

The formation of the Earth was natural and it obeys the nature of gravity, physics and chemistry.

And so on.

I agree completely with Painted Wolf. It is not spontaneous, but rather just a change of energy naturally over time. But I guess it depends how one defines spontaneous.

Spontaneous universe

I hold no belief regarding the beginnings of the universe

Spontaneous earth
Yes.
I see no reason why Earth couldn`t have happened "Naturally" according to the properties of the known universe.

Spontaneous life
I hold no belief regarding the beginnings of life.

Assent of life
Evolution is happening and has been happening since the beginning of life.
Your idea of evolution as something "progressing" from less to more complexity is a bit odd.

Spontaneous intelligence
Evolution is happening and has been happening since the beginning of life.

Spontaneous soul
Define "soul".

Your use of the word "spontaneous" doesn`t exactly state what you mean I think.
"Naturally occurring" would maybe work better.
