3 times....in the same city!

The house I was born in, the house I grew up in, and the house I live in now. Needless to say, I want to get the heck outta here come college.

Are you talking moving from city to city or state to state? If I also include moving from various cities within a state, then I count 9 just since I moved out on my own. As a child we moved 5 times in one school year so I'm not even going to try and count those years.

peeb!
Move 1: From Abilene, TX, to Concord, NC (because of dad's job)
Move 2: rental house in Concord to our own house in Concord (because the rental house sucked and was in a really crowded part of the city)
Move 3: Concord to Harrisburg, NC (parents wanted a bigger, one-story house--ended up moving literally ten minutes south of our old house)

The rest of my moves have been school-related.
Move 4: Harrisburg to Durham, NC for last two years of high school at a residential school for higher learning
Move 5: Harrisburg to Rapid City, SD for college

And then this summer:
Move 6: Rapid City to Thermopolis, WY for my summer job

Mv find a person on these boards or net (maybe with a yahoo search) and get opinions..do your homework...take your time......

I grew-up in Houston, moved to San Marcos to attend Tx St Univesity to Austin after college, sacramento chasing a girl and back to austin after we broke up.

Including moving into and out of the dorms here in Florida, I have moved six times. Into the house I lived for the majority of my life thus far, into and out of the dorms, into an apartment for a summer while a new house was being built, into said house, and once more into the dorms. One more planned for the beginning of May when I move out of these dorms for the final time. :( .

I have moved a lot, too.

1. From the hospital to home in Cleveland, Ohio
2. From there to a house in Cleveland
3. From that house to another one not far away in Cleveland
4. From there we moved to Brimfield, Ohio
5. From Brimfield we went back to Cleveland, Ohio
6. From there we bought a house in in Akron, Ohio
7. From Akron we moved to Painesville, Ohio
8. From Painesville we moved back to Akron
9. From Akron it was back to Cleveland
10. From there it was to another area of Cleveland
11. From that house my parents bought a house in Euclid, Ohio
12. From Euclid we moved to Lake Mills, Iowa
13. Then we moved to a different house in Lake Mills
14. Then it was back to our house in Euclid, Ohio
15. Then I moved out to an apartment in Kent, Ohio
16. From there I moved to Mayfield Heights, Ohio
17. From Mayfield Hts I moved to Aurora, Ohio
18. From Aurora it was on to Mantua, Ohio
19. From Mantua I moved to Chesapeake, Virginia
20. Then I moved to another area just a few miles away in Chesapeake
21. From there I moved to Portsmouth, Virginia
22. From Portsmouth it was to a house in Hopewell, Virginia
23. From Hopewell I moved to Colonial Heights, Virginia
24. From there I moved to another part of Colonial Hts.
25. Then I moved to another house in the same area, but on a different street.
26. From Colonial Hts I moved to Midlothian, Virginia
27. From Midlothian I moved to McKenney, Virginia

Moving is always an adventure!

I used to live in Aurora Ohio!!! I lived in Chatham Estates.
Wow! I know Chatham Estates quite well. I had friends that lived there. I lived in Aurora in the mid-70s (1973-1977), so I'm not sure that we were there at the same time. :) But you still seem like a neighbor!!!

pah wins, I think.
Hehee, but are we going by total moves, or by moves- per- year lived?

(Not that this is a contest, but I agree that Pah probably wins if we're going for the first.)

That's groovy, NetDoc! (I like your ribbons, by the way!)

Maybe we should start another thread to see who has lived in the same place the longest?
