How shall we correct this injustice?

Stricter (severe) punishment will take care of everything.

I disagree. While I certainly agree there should be consequences (punishment) for misdeeds, it is quite obvious that as a deterrent it doesn't really work to prevent misdeeds.

Stricter punishment with education from the other side (that includes what a victim should do - seek therapy etc.) = fewer predators /assailants.

I think education is far more effective then punishment.
Also overall culture with focus on ethics in general. A society where a misogynistic culture is promoted, I would think will have a bigger rape problem.

No perpetrators = no victims.;)

Happy ending!
No?

It seems you are looking for a golden solution. A magic potion that works on all.
Do everything - do more - and then some!
Your solutions dont address one of the major situations therefore your solutions are useless. 90% of children and teens who are raped know the perpretrator. Which means that their abuse will not take place in the open. So your surveillance doesnt help. Your harsh punishments dont help.

I am not looking for a magic solution but an effective one. Yours isnt effective as I have shown above.

Back to surveillance? Do you have something to hide?
Educate the kids to report to their parents.
Tell parents to report to the authority
Tell the authority to take action
Tell the law makers to increase punishment.

Make life hell for the rapist.

Do it all. But also agree to give up your right to privacy while in public because it will be easy to find the rapist when the kid reports. ;)

Here is an often recurring scenario that throws out your first step:

Child gets raped. The rapist is a dad, step dad etc. Mom doesnt believe the child. People dont believe the child because of the mans good reputation. Child gets humiliated and becomes suicidal. Nothing gets done.

What we have to do is change the culture, and simply education isnt enough. Crack down on media that objectifies women. Punish speech that does the same. Get rid of oppressive traditions where it is ok to hit your wife. This will be hella difficult. But once the culture changes then rape will decrease to an acceptable degree.

Do you have something to hide which is why you give such ineffective answers? Is it perhaps to provide us with the illusion that you care about victims whereas in reality you dont really care?

You are joking right? I don't really care?:D

Like I already said - "do all you can do".
Culture is changing. Go after the traditions where man is beating his wife. Put his face on the social media and the media will take care of him.
And what do you need for that? A Camera!;)

All of these are dealing with the aftermath of sexual assault. I suggest the immaturity of boys and men is a serious problem that is getting worse. Right now conservative politics is overlooking sexual assault as a disqualifier for public office, as we see in Trump and Hegseth and Gaetz. These are the role models for boys and young men. What does it tell them? You can get away with rape.

We have a culture problem with insecure and immature men who lack integrity and ethics. It falls on parents to be the teacher of decency, in my view.
Make life hell for the rapist.
Not poor Johnny. He's the captain of the football team, we don't want to ruin his future. Besides his prom date was asking for it, did you see the utfit she was wearing?

This is based on real examples.
Do it all. But also agree to give up your right to privacy while in public because it will be easy to find the rapist when the kid reports. ;)
Well there are security cameras in random places and they do help document incidents in public. It seems to be more of a business or homeowner thing in the USA whereas England has government cameras.

Can't violence and aggression be sexual stimuli though, like in BDSM?
To sexual sadists, yes. There are people who are sexually aroused by causing pain and suffering to others, as well as the power they wield over them. You see this time and time again with serial rapists, serial killers and people who enjoy torturing animals (zoo sadists). It gets to the point that it's the only way for some of them to be sexually satisfied. Frightening stuff. It's a distinct set of personality traits. These people typically cannot be rehabilitated.

That won't fix America's immature men who see Trump and others with a history of sexual assault as role models. How do you suggest this is resolved?
The court that made Trump guilty can do the same to you.
How do you resolve that?
What evidence did she provide decades later?
How do you defend against such allegation?

Provide the evidence. Let me look at it.

Look at your deflection from the issue.

It's your choice to see Trump as a role model that is the kind of blindness that leads to immature boys and men, and who won't know better that to commit sexual assault. Your attitude is exactly the point of this thread, that women are ignored when they are assaulted by men.

Trump has nominated three men with sexual assault incidents, and that should be disqualifying. To allow these men assume power tells boys and men that sexual assault won't hurt your career.

You mean a judge and two juries who already viewed the evidence and found him civilly liable in a court of law.
Yes, that is typically how it works.
Maga arguments defending Trump are air tight.
"He was never charged with insurrection, so he's innocent."
"The judge & jury are corrupt!"
No matter what happens, Trump is never culpable.

So, no evidence? I was hoping to see some evidence.

Justice system has been weaponized.

I would have believed E. Jean Carrol had she called the security at the Bergdorf Goodman store.
I have been to this store. It is impossible that the security won't come in her aid. Simply impossible! That is an insult for such a luxurious store.

Trump lived literally across from the store. Two sides of the same street (5th Ave.)

You have to be an idiot to do what he was accused of.

You have to be a bigger idiot (E Jean Carroll) to not report it. She was a 52 years old lady and she didn't know how to handle the situation? She didn't report it to the store authorities or the police at the time. She waited until Trump decided to run for the office (2019).

A 52 year old lady who was a journalist at the time doesn't know how to do the right thing?
If Trump was indeed a rapist then why didn't E. Jean Carrol expose him and protect potential future victims?
She waited 26 years!

You would say the opposite if you didn't hate Trump.
Dems are done.
There is no value to anything you say.
You are biased.

See how you continue to approve of people who have committed sexual assault? This is the problem with society: don’t trust the female accusers. That you refuse to see yourself as part of the problem is why women fear reporting sexual assault and harassment. This is why MAGA doesn’t make America great, except for rapists.

Yes! A 52 years old Journalist afraid to confront the world and do the right thing?
She doesn't feel a need to save other women.

Change comes from within first.
Before you start fixing others, fix yourself.

You are blindly supporting a 52 old lady who reported the incident when she was 75 years old.
Something wrong with the culture all right! I see it.:D
The culture is saying - you should keep your fights to be fought when you are 75 years old. Many more fools will believe an older lady of 75 than a 52 year old lady.

He was found civilly liable in a court of law by a judge and two juries of his peers.
You pretend this didn't happen because ... Dear Leader can do no wrong.
Well, Dear Leader did do wrong. And was held accountable for it. For once.

Your victim blaming is duly noted and dismissed.

Ok, but how does one feel when they are the agressive one in BSDM? I have zilch experience on that, but while sparring I felt powerful while landing hits. I can only imagine that the agressive one is going to feel the same in BSDM.

One way or another it doesn't matter much. It seems that violence in both cases is serving as a sexual stimulus.
I am concluding that your interest is only in trying to pick apart rather than see what people are articulating very clearly. It tells me you have an agenda.

I will not be replying further, since all it does is give you another opportunity to reiterate what is obviously untrue. I'm quite certain that anyone lurking is already quite clear about what is going on here, thus, my objective is accomplished.
