It's difficult to think of something in religion that's more offensive than asserting strongly that one is following a text when they add words to the text so they can persecute others. It's just odd that someone who professes to love a book so much mutilates it into something that it's not.

In the case of the Bible, it is a perfect mixture of diabolical hatred and abysmal shamelessness.
