How Should Women Who've Had Abortions be Treated?

Scott C.

Just one guy
How should women who've had abortions be treated? Should they be prosecuted and legally punished? Why or why not?

How should their partners be treated if their partners consented to the abortion? Should they be prosecuted and legally punished? Why or why not?

How should the medical personnel who performed the abortion be treated? Should they be prosecuted and legally punished? Why or why not?

Please note: These questions are not about existing laws, rights, or such, but rather about what you would think ideal.

Ideally, people would see abortion as immoral and not get one, perform one, or encourage one. When a large section of society thinks it's OK, it's hard to legislate against it, much less prosecute.

I'm not quite sure I understand, are you asking how people on this forum believe someone who has carried out an abortion should be treated, regardless of the laws present in society? In my case, here in the UK.

The issue with abortion is not simply the act of abortion itself but what necessitates that act. How could anyone prosecute a woman who has an abortion to save her life? That would be quite absurd.

I generally don't treat women who've had abortions.
I expect them to go dutch.

Note to ESL types.....
I didn't capitalize the "d" because "dutch" in this case doesn't refer to the country, but rather to going 50/50 on costs.

Note to the initialism imparied.....
ESL = English as a second language.

Note....
I like notes.

I find the best approach is to shoot, bomb, burn, harass or otherwise assault them. How else am I supposed to show my deeply held reverence for the sanctity of life?

Please forgive my lack of English understanding, but is this sarcasm?

These women who decide to abort their foetus are brave women, its better than bringing a child into the world that you don't give a crap about just because you are pregnant, these children sometimes grow up being a burden on society because of being neglected by such parents.

Depends on the reason why they got an abortion. If it's because of health issues, rape or other traumas, that's certainly understandable. If it's because they're sexually irresponsible, that's despicable. Shaming them for it isn't necessarily the correct way to go about it, though. Often times, they end up regretting it on their own. Some of them even end up going on to be great mothers. However, if they're just selfish and lacking self-control with no regrets, they should be sterilized. (To be fair, men who are sexually irresponsible and knocking up women left and right, dead beat dads, etc. should be sterilized, too. Both sexes share plenty of blame in this regard.)

Lol they should be sterilized? Why?
Isn't that like saying to a man that doesn't want to wash that as a punishment you will remove his shower?

If You have to eventually sterilize someone you may want to do it to those mothers that keep having babies and that can't provide for them but what's the point of permanently forbid to a girl to have babies if she won't have any in first place?
