How To Celebrate Birthdays

Some people celebrate their birthdays 1-time a year. I used to celebrate my birthday 1 week prior and celebrate it every day for a 7 day period and have the last birthday party on my actual birthday. In more recent years as an adult, I still celebrate my birthday starting April 14th and continue celebrating it until I get bored or it becomes too expensive usually ending in early June.

You're a wild man. A whole month+ of celebrating. Well. I can relate. We're both in the heart of OX country. The middle of Taurus. Kind of. I can relate to being a wild man, but, I basically avoid my birthday, and just hope it passes without any incidents.

Just that one time. I've been busy ever since.

0.333... times per year weighted primarily in the first 1/3 of my life.

My daughter celebrates it by taking me out to dinner on or about that day.

For me, it's just an arbitrary day on the Gregorian calendar or a day that marks one more time around the sun.

My goal has always been to not notice it, and have no other people notice it. (Still haven't accomplished that.) Since I was a child, I've never seen the point, and learned at a young age by befriending someone 50 years older than me that chronological age is nothing more than trivia.

I don't do anything for my birthday, just another day, but hubby likes to take me out for a meal.
And you do that for your hubby mostly. Recently I did that for my family. Originally I said no, but after they all sort of whined, I regretfully agreed to it. Sometimes one should give in, for the betterment of all, and it's really not that big of a deal.

I never thought that was a big deal, either, but it seems other people do. I remember being a little kid who preferred to stand with the teacher's aides at recess as opposed to the other kids. There was always concern(though the teacher's aides did talk to me).

I found what their telling me about what their husband was working on around the house, or their daughter's new job more interesting than Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles(blasphemy, I know).
Exactly. And one needs to keep in practice.
Practice of what?
Cake every day! Huzzah!
Oh! Tailoring skills. Gotcha. Letting out pants is hard.
