Everyone in Hollywood has their causes, but we doubt Mark Ruffalo had any idea what was in store for him when he organized screenings of the anti-fracking documentary Gasland.
Ruffalo, star of the indie drama The Kids Are All Right, says in this months GQ that his little screening parties attracted the attention of Pennsylvanias Office of Homeland Security, which added his name to a terror advisory list. Ruffalo, far from being outraged, said he found the incident amusing, CNN reports:
Its kind of raaadical, added the 43-year-old star, who will battle bad guys as the Hulk in the 2012 superhero ensemble The Avengers.
Gasland, which made the Oscar short list for documentaries partly due to unconventional screenings like Ruffalos, angered the natural gas industry for what Energy In Depth characterizes as a tendency to go for simplification over accuracy, as laid out here.
