How to make beautiful and effective Pentagrams cheap and easy with everyday items.
The Pentagram that I currently use is made of black thick posterboard and thin 1/2 inch ductape. I first traced a 13 inch diamater circle out of the posterboard and cut it out. I then used ductape to surround the circle. I then traced with a pencil a geometerically accurate pentagram inside the circle, leaving room where the points of the pentagram don't quite touch the circle as in the Pentagram of Set. I then used the lines of the pentagram to place the ductape, I then cut out using a precesion cutter to cut away the excess tape to make sharp angles at each point of the pentagram. I then used a pen with silvery ink to color in the ductape and, thus, you have a very beautiful evocative pentagram to use during ritual.
Another techique you might want to try is find a large round mirror. Make sure you clean it off good. Then using 1/2 inch ductape place the tape at centeral points on the mirrow to form a pentagram. Make sure the lines of the pentagram are stright and not bulging in or out. Then use a can of flat black spray paint and cover the entire mirrow liberally in black spray paint. Wait until the paint dries completely and remove the tape very carefully. You can also use a thick piece of round glass, spraying one side either white or silver and the other with flat black pray paint.
The end result is a nice evocative altar piece or plaque to place above your altar.
