How To Make Yourself Look Like A Fool

Yeah, I was paraphrasing ... I'm an old lazy man.
I don't know how many times I have quoted famous people with things they never said. And it's so easy to do that. There most possibly is even someone who made a graphic of it. Therefore:

I've never been. My daughter has been there 2 or 3 times.

How much wisdom does the typical 3-year-old have?
As with any age, it depends on the individual.

I would consider wisdom more what a person does with the knowledge they have rather than knowledge itself. So while your average 3 year old doesn't have a lot of knowledge, they may do well with it.

We've all known some 50-year0olds who had less maturity than 12-year-olds. In the year I spent as a counsellor at school, I occasionally counselled students on how to deal with certain teachers. Sometimes tough to stay professional under those circumstances. Amazing how mature some kids are. One of the social learning that happens in school is how to deal with differing personalities ... i.e . the teachers.

Indeed. I remember one of my biggest bullies the one year I did in the main high school was actually a staff member...

Years ago, my husband and I 'did time\ with the UUs. They kinda told us what we wanted to hear to get us in the door(we later learned it wasn't a good fit). At some point, they prodded us into teaching the teenaged 'religious education' class.

That was one of the most mature, thoughtful, and intelligent group of individuals at any age I've ever run across. Years more mature than the 'adults' in the congregation. They were a joy to be with during the time we were there.

I keep seeing this title pop up in the new threads, and it interests me greatly. However, I then see its an American Politics thread, and there's little that interests me less.

So I thought I'd make the thread I wanted to see here. :)

Well, how do you make yourself look like a fool? Any ways you've proven to work, or just general guesses? Perhaps ways in which you've seen others be successful?
Tell a coworker that you've never read a book in your life, and then preach about either religion or politics or economics.

Brag about the accomplishments of people who lived and died before you were born as if you somehow helped. Use 'We' a lot.

Buy a vehicle that is absurdly expensive instead of something equivalent but costs half its price. Go ahead. Its totally normal. There's nothing stupid about doing that.

The only people I remain in touch with after 15 years of retirement are a few former students.

Are people on RF being foolish when they make serious comments in a joke thread? (self-referential comment)
